I was on some oddball auction site watching a lot with a 1940s Stetson (not sure the model), a later Stetson 3X and a not-too-old Borsalino. The bidding had been stuck at $40 for several days. I was really after the light blue Stetson, but (despite having set a timer on my phone) I looked down and the auction only had 5 seconds left and it was still 30 minutes before it was supposed to end (according to their own countdown timer that I had checked off and on for the last couple of hours). Boom! Closed! No hat for you!

When I took a chance on this lot of 9 mystery hats a few weeks back not knowing what might all be there other than what I mentioned above. I half way hoped they would not be my size... making any decisions on what to move along much easier. Well..... They finally arrived today. All my size more or less. And some cool goodies for sure! I can’t say I’m disappointed in any way that they will fit.
Looking forward to profiling them in the Post New Hats thread over the coming weeks. Along with some other arrivals I have not gotten to yet.

Joining the hat lottery group, $21. Seller says it’s a Stetson. No crest or size information available but I figured why not roll the dice? Shipping will cost more than the hat.
