How do you find the crown of editor?
I've been eyeing three similar designed variant hats (envoy, editor, center crease)
I wish the site had more photos of the hats as worn, just to get a feel for how they look on head.

Yes, I've digested plenty of the social media photos, enough to have a headache. The downside is that they make one internalize a sense of cranial inadequacy.

The crown is not that high, but for me it's perfect. I don't like the crown to high for me. I also have a center crease, but that crown is also not to high, but that's what i told Peter to make. My recent hat is a classic teardrop and that crown is much higher, about 13cm. So if you want a special crown hight, you can ask Peter to make that for you as a custom made hat.
Thanks for the response, Pellie. I'd love to see a side by side of them some day, as they may be in my wheelhouse, so to speak. Likewise, what briars do you keep warm these days? (pipes are my other weakness, as I see from your tagline, you also may be afflicted. ;-)

Its actually their Grey, and the ribbon is technically Grey, but has some brown tones which come through in sunlight and on camera. I'm actually quite pleased, as a grey on grey can be boring sometimes, and other colors can clash a bit, so delighted with Hornskov`s choice.

All Hornskov hats use Fepsa felts as far as I understand. The brims with curls have a fair amount of stiffener in them (which they have to, to keep the shape), but the one you see in grey is about as malleable and soft as any hat that has ever passed through my hands - and I mean that is a totally different feel in my experience to felts sourced on other continents - it is extremely finely ponced with an incredibly good feel and as malleable as you could possibly want. I personally would be interested to know if a finer felt exists.

Today i ordered my 5th Hornskov. This time the classic Henchman with D'orsay brimcurl in Stone colour 50x beaver. Like the one in the picture. Don't know yet if the hatband will be like in the picture in also stonecolour or that i will choose sandcolour. 3 Months waitingtime, so that's plenty to think about that

The curl in the photos doesn’t look like a D’Orsay to me. Interesting hat anyway, and I love the 50X felt...I like mine better that FEPSA’s 100X. Can’t wait to see your hat.

Brad Bowers calls that an upright (homburg) curl. I like that on some hats myself (my Northwest shown here). Technically bowler brims are wider on the sides than on the front and back and the D'Orsay is wide and folded back hard on itself on the sides - almost like an overwelt - tapering to a very short vertical curl on the front and rear. My brown 60s Resistol bowler has an upright curl that "tries" to mimic a D'Orsay. It looks good because it is a short brim with a wide binding but it is certainly not the real deal.

My new Hornskov "Henchman" is on it's way to the netherlands. Colour stone with a hatband also in stone with a touch of steel in the bow.
