A true playboy Joe, love it! ;) Looking forward to seeing your new 9(?)-batch get!

Anton Peschel Neutitschein possibly mid 1920s. I received this hat from a FL member back in 2010. He had it restored by Optimo Chicago which I think did a good job but I wish he had kept the original Sweatband (see below). The original Band was missing and the original Liner was shredded (see below). The Black Velour is of really high quality.

Imported by the "The Star Clo. Co. Macon, GA". I found some info on "The Star Clo. Co. Macon, GA". The company was owned by David Wachtel Sr. who immigrated from Austria / Bohemia in 1867. (Federal Census records showed there was community of people that immigrated from Austria / Bohemia.) His son David Wachtel Jr. born in Macon 1895 was also involved in the business and took over sometime after his father's death in 1920s (not listed in 1930 census). I have no idea how long the business lasted after 1930.

Lobbia misto? Oh no, I fell in love again ;)
Thanks, Panos. It doesn't get out much but that's because it sits in the safe!

That is a fantastic septuplet of Borsalinos, Stefan. Hard to pick a winner, so I'll just say, I love 'em all :)
Thank you, Steve. It's a team effort so they're all winners!

Stefan,
I'm practically spoiled for choice, but this is the favorite puppy of the brood ;)
Thanks, Daniele. I'm very fond of all my nutria Borsalinos. This one has a little extra touch by Fleur.

Thanks Joe.

And once again, thanks. I guess I'm falling behind on my reading.

Thanks Dan. i count myself lucky that this one showed up here. Doesn't happen often.

That is a nice lot this week, Stefan. That miso Nebbia lobbia is way too cool.

Michael
Thank you, Michael. It knows it too!

O yes! It can brighten up any day with that felt.

It just could be that I still don't have a velour homburg. Looking at that one that is something to be corrected. Very cool, Michael.

And we are all better for it! If I had to pick a winner it would be the Borsalino Lobbia Misto Nebbia. Love it ...
Thanks, Bob. That one gets a lot of likes (and it deserves it).
Man, this week’s batch is surely superior, to my tastes, Stefan!
What’s a martaro?
And thanks for the compliments on my last two efforts!
Thanks, Randall. Martora is the Italian name for pinemarten. One of the more exotic critters to donate fur for a hat.

Beauties, both of them, Joe.

My my!!
One of the most epic posts ever, Stefan.
Fantastic parade of exquisite examples all things Borsalino.
Marvelous. Thank you.

Thanks, Bowen. I have a lot of fun handling all of these hats again.

Wonderful looking felt, Steve. Amazing that the felt looks so pristine while the liner and sweatband were just gone.

Such a wonderful hat. I like the hats were at a glance you can tell they are something special without being able to say exactly why. The shape, style, ribbon/bow, luster of the felt, and so many other things all quietly scream that the hat is extraordinary. I love my custom hats, but they seem to just come up short with this synthesis of perfection; maybe in 80 years they’ll be there too?

That's some nice velour, Brent.

I picked up this Anton Peschel velour several weeks back, but haven't had a chance to document it. This its first trip out of the house.

I apologize for the gloominess.

That's some stellar parade of velour, Wayne. Magnificent!

Thanks, Brent! I have to admit, I was a little sad to see your Gorasgu up on the block. Someone will be getting a helluva hat.

Thanks, B, though all I have to do is look at one of your posts and I realize I still have a long way to go.

Hopefully this shipment won't get lost in the Bermuda Triangle for four months. I owe you a tracking number btw.
Oddly enough the last shipment I received from the US took less than a week!
Yes, I know it's green, but damn, that's one nice hat.

I hope you gents are all doing well. Many beautiful hats indeed.

By all means bore us with them, Héctor! Great to see you again. Hope you are doing well.

I guess I know the address now so, code please ? :)
