Don't believe I've ever seen Dio performing with DP. I had the pleasure of seeing him with Blackmore's Rainbow on their first tour. Great show. I've also had the pleasure of seeing Deep Purple Marks IV, IIb (x2), VII, & VIII.

Ich verstehe dass Politik verboten ist- Listening to NPR coverage of the US Senate trial.
All political partisanship aside, as a lawyer I find such irresistible, a feast for thought. But in particular
the art of advocacy is on full display. Earlier, I heard an excellent opening statement given by a congresswoman
experienced in trial law, her allowance spellbinding and more importantly focused.
Following her after lunch, two defense counsel spoke; both of whom failed utterly to rise to the standard
set by her directly focused and precise advocacy.
Again, all partisanship aside.

Oh, I was there. Saw him on that tour opening for the Mothers of Invention.
A few months later, and John Mayall is opening for him.
I last saw him about ten years ago at the House of Blues in NOLA.
