Welcome Nathan aka Oviatt

Thanks for that short bio and the pain you share (midriff wise) is a pain we all share with you.

Thanks to Mark also for bringing your wonderful stuff to our attention.

My BB pick - the nubbly tweed FWIW and I like those sunray Deco shoes too like Marc's ones.

Not me but damn it was a 44!

The guy would not post Down Under... I wanted it for a template. Beautiful Scottish Wool still good after 80+ years

bump!

incredible thread! I've met Nathan on the Weird West Adams Crime Bus tour and had a great time! Anyone who starts off a historical tour of LA with a bus filled with 60 year olds by quoting from a Germs live track to "pick up the mic Darby!" is obviously doing it for the love of it and needless to say... I'm indeed onboard! ;) And I had no idea what a collection! Just awesome! :eusa_clap

And of course thank you Marc, wherever you are, for posting all these photos!

Saw this family photo posted by Tourbillion over in the display case, and the suit vaguely reminded me of the jazz suit here from Marsak's collection. A really toned-down version. Well, maybe it's a stretch.

I'd like to know more about the early 20's jazz movement. Where did this happen? Is there any documentation easily found? Flappers and Zooters all fit into their distinct genres and movements. But which new social or musical innovation spearheaded this distinct look?

Should this be its own subject? :eusa_doh:
