Natal. Beautiful. Great price. I’m tempted.

I found this beauty at the local consignment store. I think it qualifies as a find, because it was priced just under $200. It was one of those “no, it can’t be” moments when I saw it hung on the wall just after walking into the shop. When I verified it really was Langlitz, I thought, it is not going to fit me. I tried it on and it fit like it was made for me. Because fate had smiled at me, I knew I wasn’t leaving without buying it. At first, I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t a Columbia or black. The more I have worn it, the more I like the Cascade (do I have that right?) design and the dark brown (almost black) color.

I could use some help with the zippers, though. The Talon bell zippers on the sleeves and pockets look original.

However, I am not so sure about the Lenzio main zipper.

is it original or a replacement?

Fantastic find! The label is pre 1984. Main zipper is probably a replacement.

Fantastic score. At that sort of money and in those circumstances, you just have to chalk it up to 'meant to be'. Hard to tell from a photo, but it looks to me like this jacket is a factory "black over brown", the sort of thing that teacore is an extreme version of, teacore being design to go from zero to looking seventy years old in a few months, whereas this is the 'real', ages-over-time deal. Nice version of that collar style, something I've come to really appreciate in the last two or three years. The replacement zip looks nicely done in the photos; both well-installed, and also well chosen. Doesn't look ridiculously chunky and out of place like some in that period. Great jacket, enjoy!

@JMax, Natal is essential for you! Don't miss out on this one. Same as I'll try bidding on the Brent (if you can help me out getting it :D ).

No problem with help with the Brent. Great jacket.

I’m seriously thinking about the Natal. I have done very well keeping my impulses in check. I don’t want to reopen the flood gates.

Aero FQHH 36 Auction ends in 15 hours current bid $82 - this seller has a second small Aero at auction
https://www.ebay.com/itm/AERO-LEATH...464140?hash=item4dbcc450cc:g:j-QAAOSwvFhgHMtb
Strongly suspect both of those are the same jacket, and the seller accidentally double listed. Pictures are identical, and the size 34 listing has a description saying they had a size 36 jacket taken in by a leather tailor:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/AERO-LEATH...309027?hash=item4dbcc1f2e3:g:I8QAAOSw7GhgHIXN

Asked the seller for clarification, but with few hours left on both listings I have my doubts that I'll hear back from them.

nah, it's a proxy listing. Multiple people offering same jacket and trying to play the margin game (i.e. buy from Japan at X price and sell to you at Y price). Nothing wrong with it per se, other than you're not buying the jacket directly from seller and the obvious, you can probably track down the original listing yourself and save the margin up charge.

Congratulations, what a find and great deal! That still looks brand new. Fit pics or it didn't happen as they say!

Thanks for the replies with info about the Langlitz. Sorry for the poor lighting in the first set of photos. I was trying to take them at night. Here are a better set taken in daylight. You guys have me intrigued. Is this a Cascade with a modified waist or a Columbia with a Cossack or racer collar? Fit pics coming soon...

I love this style! I'm borrowing this as a reference image since I'm thinking about a custom Five Star that has this overall look.

That's so cool looking. Langlitz is pure awesome. Any idea if that is horse or steer?
