Saw an ad and clicked, looked around. Didn't really need another pair of gloves, then saw they had a special edition in Horween Vermont DHF Horsehide.

I must have bought the last pair they had because they're all out of stock today. They were already out of Black in my size (M) when I ordered, but they still had the dark brown, which I ordered.

I wasn't even going to order them, but on a whim I sent them an email to see if they had any discount codes, and Jake replied with a 20% of code in under an hour, and for service like that, I just couldn't say no.

My order arrived today, and I'm very happy with the fit. I don't know how Vermont DHF varies in recipe from CXL, but I have a lot of CXL jackets, and this stuff feels similar enough to me. The color matches closely with the dark brown of some of my Aero jackets. And they appear to be well made for me. No lining, and they fit my hand very well. They should take an even better fit in time as the leather breaks in.

They have a variety of other styles, and leathers, most of which look like they'd go well with a vintage look ensemble.

I have several pairs of Sullivan gloves, good quality. I really don't think you can beat them.

How are these breaking in? I wish they would do another run of these :) You were smart to get your pair when you did!

I'd tell you if I could, but the truth is I haven't seen them in a while. I believe they are misplaced in the house somewhere, most likely in the pocket of one of my jackets that I haven't worn in a long time. I do hope they will turn up one day, as they were quite expensive.

I did just pick up these.

Limited edition moose ropers. I bought them the day this thread was updated with the request for updated pics of the horween gloves I'd picked up originally. And they're already gone from their website.

Fortunately these are a perfect fit on my hands in Medium. The moose leather is very much like deerskin (or elk, I'd imagine, although I've never handled elk leather in person to know) but it's thicker, as you'd expect. 4 Oz, but despite the heavy weight they are supple, soft, and instantly comfortable, with better tactile pass-through than I thought possible in a heavy leather glove. I'm very pleased with them, and despite the premium price I think they are a good value.

I opted to get the snap closure upgrade for $10 on these, but I don't think it was necessary, as good as they fit my hands they don't need it.

They're pretty, too.

Update: I found my missing HH sullivan gloves today, thankfully. As they haven't really been worn a whole lot, there's nothing much to report as far as break-in. I just tried them on again and they fit better than I remember. My original impression was that one of the ring finger on my right hand was a bit tight on the second knuckle, which made it a bit uncomfortable to flex the digit. But this doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. I'll have to put some wear on them this summer when I get out on the motorcycle.

Glad you found your HH gloves. I got on Sullivan’s email list. I have gotten a few updates from them, which is nice. No horsehide runs announced yet.
