We drove down to Southern Wakayama prefecture today to see Ichimai Iwa Monolith. Stopped for grilled eel on the way.

The monolith was spectacular and with so few people around, it was nice to get the masks off. That’s my wife you can see in front of the monolith.

I wore my most monolithic hat for the occasion - my resistol XXX.

I don’t get too much occasion to wear this hat (my wife is usually reluctant to be seen with me when I wear it), but I always enjoy it when I do.
I made...some zen stones?...an inukshuk?...I stacked some stones!

It's been a while. Good to see you, David.
Busy adding a few more layers of depth to the aromas in my kangaroo leather hat yesterday on a public holiday here in Japan. The drink is sous vide mixed berry infused vodka tonic, and it is good.

Killing it with the food pics again , Gary.

Thanks Stefan, the Borsalino lobbia "Dattero" is your merit and the yellow velour is about Fleur.
I try to do my best to enhance the products that come from Netherlands :)
The credits belong to the Italian makers of these products, Daniele.

Very nice, Bob. I like that phrase "no other fibers"; what "other" fibers were they thinking of?

It was so cold in the kitchen this evening. Thankfully, this Lock & Co Bowler kept my head warm :) View attachment 309485
The hatted chef: it does have a nice ring to it.

For about ten years almost every day I wore a pair of Dr Martin brown leather lace ups just like these. Beat up patchwork old baseball mitt looking leather shoes that seemed like they walked right out of a bowling alley. About five years ago one of our then pups got to em and tore one up enough that my wife convinced me to toss them out. And I thought “hey I can just grab another pair” well I didn’t find any right away and then managed to forget what brand they were... even pickup up a couple pairs of Skechers that were of a similar style... but never quite the same. Then after I had given up hope... out of the blue... low and behold... at random a pair identical to my long lost shoes... but just like new... popped up on my eBay Home Screen. They arrived today. Just as beautifully ugly as I remember. Let the... “hey.. going bowling” comments commence.

One of the finest hats around. Wonderful, Joe.

First time out and about in my Borsalino Anello that came to me from @daizawaguy. I’m usually a brim down kind of guy...
View attachment 309547 but this one might get some brim up action, too. View attachment 309548
It does work very well with the brim up. Nice catch, Gary.

Sun and wind now, magnificent day with temperature that is around 0 degrees centigrade, morning with a sky promising snow.

Tonight we will go abundantly below zero, this morning and yesterday the sky promised snow and for the occasion I wore a high lobbia Borsalino made before the Second World War.

Sold in Sofia by Simeon Zlateff it has remained intact until now.

Here I'm in the part of the day before the wind swept away any greyness, then temperature cooling while the sun starts its rise.

In the next days more hats arrived will be show, for now have a nice Saturday
Thanks for the lokes and kind words
Wonderful homburg, Daniele. Not an often seen model.

Well hatted for the job, Alan.

Nice. Beaver brand must have made a habit of making hats for general stores. I have two from a small general store that closed up and the grand kids were selling off the old stock.

the light ones leather sweat band disintegrated after a long hot summer of hard wear. The dark one I have never really felt overly comfortable in. Shape wise. I may have to remedy that.
Wear your in good health
Johnny
The liner in that second one is fabulous, Johnny.

Hi guys! Today I wore my new Hornskov (it's the Author in brick). I think the quality is amazing! Just ordered a second ;) View attachment 309753
Gorgeous hat, Janina. The richness of the colours is amazing.

One year ago I was with my wife in the hospital as she awaited her gallbladder removal surgery. Her only goal at the time was to get healthy enough to go watch our favorite local band Jeffery James Gang. We did not know what would lie ahead over the weeks and months ahead. But here we are 1 year later. A local venue with outside distanced seating. Here were are! We made it! Love you baby!

Oh and if you wonder what Jeffery James Gang sounds like. I'd say this... They are the only band I have seen that can make Peter Frampton - Baby I Love Your Way, Easy by Lionel Richie and throw in some Dillon and make it thier own song.

The hat on the right is the winner by a landslide! Great pic, Joe.

I think, it is because 1. we don't buy a new hat every couple of weeks and don't have such a huge collection. We cannot show a new hat in short times.
2.this forum is old fashioned with handling. If there would be an app or something easier to handle, we would check more often. :)

All fantastic Stefan, though the misti do it best for me.
Nice to see the gunslinger in you too, I guess I'll need to reconsider my visit to your storage room ;)

The Lapis seems to have a taller than normal crown, or is just just the camera? Regardless, all you hats look fantastic. I do like those wide brimmed "Cowboys" as well.

Thanks, Panos. The misto felts are a favourite of mine too. The Open Road is perfectly wearable, but the Cowboy may be a bit much.

Thank you, Randy. The center dent on the misto lapis is not as deep, which makes the crown look taller.

Yes, and this is fine by me. It would only make the check easier in the evening.
