Lost Worlds DeBow

What is the relationship here? Does DeBow manufacture coats and jackets for Lost Worlds? Does DeBow not sell directly ? What’s the opinion on the Lost Worlds B3?
God reproduction? Quality materials? Worth the cost? On par with the other high end jacket purveyors ?

I believe they are the original manufacturer of the ww2 era B3 who Lost Worlds based their jacket off of.

Some more knowledgeable members might chime in, but J.A. Dubow Mfg. Co. used to be a manufacturer making flight jackets for the military.

The current J.A. Dubow Mfg. Co. has nothing to do with the original, just someone bought the name to sell flight jackets repro.

So in this case, the B3 is based on the one made by the original contractor.

As for this specific jacket, I can't tell you much. But as an owner of several of their civilian and motorcycle jackets, I can tell you they are top tier.

Seems to be the case. Apparently they are selling or were selling direct to the consumer as well.

thanks for the detail. I had been looking for a review from someone who had a Dubow B3 jacket as I had heard anecdotally that the quality was quite good.

I had one of their ANJ4s, one of the best jackets I’ve ever had, super durable, the B3 should be just as good.

LostWorlds doesn’t contract for DuBow, but they did contract for another big company and I think some older members here could tell you whom.
If you poke around lostworldsinc.com you’ll find some really interesting stuff, worth reading, but take it with a grain of salt.

You do know "DuBow" is just a name right now? nothing has been manufactured by the DuBow company in years, it doesn't exist anymore.
What you have are a bunch of different repro makers, without any connection to each other or to the real ww2 company using "DuBow" tags in their jackets.
Without knowing who made the "DuBow" jackets you just bought there is no way to know what to expect.
Seems to me you are doing the same thing you did with the three "B-3s" you started with... (that are not actually B-3s!).
You should do a bit of reading before you buy, it might save you some money in the long run.

It's an older, now defunct company that made leather jackets. It's like how companies use the Buco name now.

Yeah, Dubow is no company (anymore), they were making military jackets 80 years ago and now dozens of makers including Lost Worlds create jackets that they put a Dubow label into. Buying a jacket with a Dubow label therefore tells you nothing at all about its maker or quality.
