Please forgive my absence of knowledge. That is the reason why I'm asking... and there is obviously a better name than snap things for the 3 round pop in thingos around the neck. I'm thinking there are to attach a fleece collar probably?
Anyone's help- thanks!

I think they're there to attach the collar to the body in case the jacket is not fully closed, to prevent it from flapping around in the wind when riding.

The question is shall I delete this thread or leave it here to torment myself with?
I didn't know about this 2 years ago. This is just something I've learned spending too much time here on this great forum :)

I'd say keep this thread for all the other like you and me who didn't know.

Good call Marc. Thankyou I don't feel so silly now! Because it is an ex Police jacket a myriad of snap on accessories went through my mind, including radio gear!

The worst part is I even spelt "absence" incorrectly.... it was on my phone... give me a break here >_<
I'm pretty sure you can go in and correct the spelling through the Edit function. If not, I can do it for you. At first I thought spelt was incorrectly spelled, then I saw there was an "l" before the "t' and not an "i" as I originally read it. If I am correct spelt is the past and past participle of spell in England, so we can just leave that one alone.
