Yes to inner kidney panel, good catch and suggestion..
My Vanson has olive cotton drill, great lining. I know Carrie likes the tartan for her stock Sheene's and Seven's. Maybe I could throw some colour at this lining in cotton drill for a change-up.
Thanks!

no wind flap, and get zips on the handwarmer. The latter is the one thing I don't like on mine (no zips) as I got a tight fit but the handwarmer pockets flare out without anything to hold them down. Doesn't give for a total sleek look if you're going tighter, but you can maybe get away with it with a more relaxed fit. I may take to a seamstress to add zips or maybe an internal button to keep flatter.

The CXL will break down with good wear. Don't get scared by it. I wore mine every day for about 2 months and would also roll into a ball and just lay flat and sit on it LOL. Transformation was glorious and it still has some way to go. I have the regular old brown but love the leather and color tones. CXL just has so much life if you can deal with the first 20 wears or so of being in a straitjacket.

I didn’t know you good get a Vanson with cotton drill as a lining. Thought they only had quilted, cotton plaid, and rayon.

My Sheene fit jacket arrived today, CXL Natural, size 42
P2P 24
Shoulders 19.75
Sleeves 26.5
Waist 21.5
Back 26.5
I’m thinking to keep this but I have a little reservation about sleeve length. I’ve got long arms and I could do with another 1/2-3/4” I think. Enough to wait for a custom? Hmmm
The leather is spectacular.
I’m waiting to hear back from Carrie on the fit photos.

Almost perfect fit! Probably would need that extra 3/4" on the sleeves to account for creasing.

that's pretty darn close. I guess if you're cool waiting, a little longer sleeves is good idea. But I don't think the sleeves will cinch up that much given it's CXL. Thing is so loaded with wax and oils once it warms up it stretches out, even with sleeve creases.

Carrie got back to me and says the fit is spot on, including the sleeves. She confirms many like them longer, but she prefers them “neat”.
I’m going to wear it around the house tomorrow but I’m now leaning towards keeping it. It’s not much out, and if they do stretch out a bit (rather than shrink up with creases) I think I’ll be ok.
Edit - And no, I’m impulsive and don’t like to wait!

They won't stretch, but what's typical is the sleeves do cinch up some because of the creases. However, what I've found with my Sheene and Cafe Racer is that I do get the creases, but it's pretty negligible on the overall length because the leather gives more, especially once the jacket warms up. If you're in super cold weather, then that might not be the case, I'm in Los Angeles so 40s to 70s is usual jacket weather for me.

The jacket fits so well that I wouldn't take the risk of waiting three months before another measurement might not fit. Aero has a tolerance of 0.5 "up or down and that's a lot. Even if I would order longer sleeves, I think they look really good on you. So I wouldn't want to wait any longer and take them.

edit:
And thanks for the measurements. I wrote an email to Aero right away that I hope your jacket has slipped up in terms of dimensions.
I wanted 22.75-23.25 for p2p and Aero said that 42 is a good basis. At 24 p2p I wouldn't see it that way lol.

Thanks for this. I wore it around the house tonight and I’m thinking the same. Yeah I wouldn’t mind another 1/2” but as you say, I could order 1” longer and end up with the same length. Carrie as much as said the same.
If I went custom I’d play around with the design a bit too as has been discussed earlier but it’s 20 weeks wait time....I could be run over by a beer truck by then.

Have you perused Thurston Bros site to check dimensions? I don’t find much difference in p2p’s between 42 and 44. There is a 44 Hooch, same leather as this, and the dimensions are pretty much identical, but it’s p2p is a bit smaller.
I suspect length has as much to do with the tag # as p2p.

No I have not.
I only gave Aero my desired measurements and they then see what the best base size is. Then come the alterations like longer sleeves, longer body, narrower hem.
I think I can trust Aero there, but safe is safe and therefore my reference to Aero lol.
The stupid thing is that the Aero production sheet does not contain any exact measurements (apart from the length) but base sizes and deviations relative to the base size. But I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Damn this jacket looks perfect, sleeve length included. If I'd order a custom jacket, this would be the sleeve length I'd be aiming for. Beautiful leather too. Congrats.
