Hi all,

I’m putting up for sale this Aero Hooch Hauler modified with Rough’n’ready details in Seal Jerky HH and lined in brown herringbone tweed.

I custom ordered this in the summer of 2019. It has been worn very lightly since October 2019 when I received it.
It is in very good condition and apart for a light scuff on the top right back shoulder (see picture) there are no defects I can spot. This is a tea core leather and the undertones are starting to show around the cuffs (see picture).

The basic pattern is an Hooch Hauler but with modified lapels and chest pocket placement to mimic the Aero x LVC Rough’n’ready jacket. Also the side straps have been lowered to the bottom.

The jacket is in the UK.

My asking price is £400.

The price is including shipping in the UK, +£25 shipping in the EU. I’m ok shipping internationally but only with long standing TFL members. Shipping cost will have to be determined.

^Thanks guys!

I’m a bit annoyed that this doesn’t fit me better as I really like this jacket!

The jerky HH is also a pretty nice leather although for some reason the least popular from Aero. I think it’ll look its best when all the wear areas lighten up. If you are ordering from Aero and undecided about a mid weight leather, I’d say go for the jerky! :) you won’t be disappointed.

I've looked at the pics about 10 times since you posted it here...I wouldn't have looked at it as often if it was Vicenza but it's made of their lovely Jerky HH and the fit seems to be perfect for me! I really hope that you will sell it today or latest tomorrow!! GLWS!!

A quick question about the chest measurement.. Something I have wondered before as well.. Shouldn't it be measured from seam to seam, hence effectively reducing the current measurement of 21" (on the photo) to around 20" or even less? Not nit-picking, might actually be interested in the jacket. Asking because I was recently taken by a similar surprise when a jacket being advertised as 22" turned out to be around 20.5" instead (which was actually quite fortunate for me). Can anyone comment on this please?

The chest is measured correctly as shown.

Think about it this way - Your chest measurements are measured in circumference...so by laying the jacket flat, measuring the total width just below the armpit and doubling it you effective get the circumference of the chest for the jacket in question.

Maybe some members here have noticed a way to check pattern shape or something with a seem to seem measurements but I've never seen that as at all helpful.

Measuring the distance between the two seams would provide absolutely no information on how wide the garment is, as seams can in theory be placed anywhere you want. Chest/P2P width can only be measured on the garment lying flat, from one end to another. There's no other way.

The jacket you have purchased would have to be a size 34 in order to have 20.5" P2P.

Huh? 20.5" or 21" is a pretty standard P2P for a size 38. Check the official spec sheet of Schott 613/618, for example. My cafe racer in size 38 measures 51 cm, measured flat, from one end to another, just like you said one should measure. This is actually even less than 20.5". Aero's slim fit version of the motorcycle jacket also has a 20.5" P2P in size 38 (this is directly from Holly). I know that some size 38 Aeros have a 22" chest, but I don't think it's that common for size 38 jackets in general, unless your comment was specifically related to the Hooch Hauler. OK, this is getting slightly off-topic now...

Anyway, thanks to everyone for clearing it up! That was all the information I needed. :)

Thanks to everyone who cleared up the question about the p2p measurements. Seam to seam is misleading and useless as the side panels throw everything off... laying flat and taking the length end to end is the only way. This works out at 21”.

Couple of pics of me wearing it closed/open

Good morning. That is a lovely looking jacket and very similar to what I am looking for. I'm new to the site and would appreciate any guidance on how to pm the seller. Thanks.

Should have posted earlier. Thanks a million to the seller. It's a lovely jacket and the communication was excellent. Just a note on importing to Ireland since Brexit. The customs and VAT

can be significant, up to 33% of total cost when purchasing from the UK. However, it won't stop me buying another jacket.
