Off topic, but which jeans are these, they’re great!

GLWS!

Union of Friends, made by a two-man operation in Ukraine. They started around five years ago I think. I've got both the 001 and the 003 style in regular straight. The 003 has a split waistband and cinch back. Very nice details on these, good choices of denim too. They just changed their web shop to include MTM/ customized and somehow dropped the 003 style but I think that's accidental. At any rate they still produce it.
Their denim supply changes from time to time, currently it's three sanforised raw denims in 13, 14, 15oz from Japan, not sure which mill. Before that, they had:
13 oz Kuroki Mills denim, sanforized
13 oz Cone Mills denim, sanforized

So it looks like they know their denim. The guy who does the customer service told me it's difficult to source good denim for import into Ukraine but they're always checking for new options.

Is there an existing thread for new denim brands? I'm happy to post details there.

Thanks for the info!
Are they right on the measurements? meaning, does a 32= 16in across the waistband?

A size 32 of the regular straight version measures 16.5" across the waistband. They add exactly 1" to the OUTER circumference ON THE REGULAR STRAIGHT VERSION. That's in accordance with regular vintage sizing.

HOWEVER, do check their size chart. It's perfectly accurate from what I've bought so far (three pairs of jeans, 001 and 003).
Here's why:
The regular tapered sits a tad lower and has a correspondingly wider waist (since it sits slightly closer to the hips). The regular straight is a high-rise. High-rise as in jeans high-rise, which is vintage accurate but not as high as a late 1930s-40s dress trousers, maybe 0.5" lower. And you can wear the high rise (= regular straight) dropped, too. I'm wearing mine in the photo dropped. I'm 30" actual waist, the jeans are oversized at size 31 meaning the're 32" actual. 32" actual means dropped to below the navel and below the stomach, on me. And still roomy there.

So the sizing is logical, you can go by your regular jeans size and you can make sure you got it right by checking the actual measurements, knowing the rise and relative to that, the waistband across.
I'm 30" waist and if I were to buy true to size (size 30) I'm positive I'd get a regular fit on every model (reg straight, reg tapered, slim fit).

I bought these above oversized on purpose. Wanted something to wear dropped. I guess dropped isn't just a prison thing, it's also a lockdown thing!
