Low temps in the upper 30f's and high temps in the upper 50f's has been our "normal." Saturday/Sunday we see 80'f. Gee-sh! I am working this morning cleaning fire-pit, deck and cleaning the grill. Working in anticipation of being able to enjoy more outside time. Sunday morning should be a perfect day to enjoy an outside brunch.

Ebbets Fiield Flannels Providence Grays cap on this gray Providence morning.Based on the caps worn by the Grays when Babe Ruth played for the team in 1914.
The Grays played a Messer Field demolished c. 1936, now a parking lot about a mile South of where I am standing.

Well, didn’t know I had bought this fine Knox from you! Sorry that it’s taken me so long to reply, but I just read your post today. I’ve been so very busy lately.
Anyway, Glad you letter go. She’s a real beaut!
Also nice to hear that the trolley may be original to the hat. I was wondering about it because it’s a good bit lighter in color and because the wind string is one of them elastic jobs.
Guess I was under the false impression that the hat was older (early 50’s) than the point when Knox was using elastic string (late 50’s).
