I have the Porsche now, but my first fun to drive car was a 1958 red MG-A. I drove it through flight school, but sold it to my sister's boyfriend before I left for VN in 1967. Didn't want it left unused for a year, and my parents didn't want it taking up room in their garage. Wish I still had it. Below is a stock photo of a 1958 MG-A like mine:

I went practical with the Legacy about six months ago. Before that was a 09 WRX that I put way too much into— larger turbo, full exhaust, tuned by one of the top bubbas in the US, upgraded braking, upgraded suspension and sway bars. It...was...sick. A monster really. My wife said no más. Get something “safer”. Now my drive to work is boring. Lol.

I've built a few cars over the years (not personally -- hired pros). Had a 1,000 hp 996TT (full engine and tranny build and every bolt-on under the sun) and a 820 hp R8 (added a supercharger to the v10). Both cars were featured in magazines. These days, I do little more than an ECU tune (my wife's 991.2 has a tuned ECU -- she digs the extra pep).

Very impressive. It really is amazing what these guys can do to engines and vehicles. My Subie was making a bit less than half the HP and probably torque of your R8, and it was still fun as heck to drive. I can’t imagine the smile you had when running those two cars through their paces. Very cool.
Ive though about a blower on my Harley but then sanity returns. Though many of these types of Harley builds that I see are not too crazy. Money better spent elsewhere I guess. Like my boy.

My one and only so far, one month old 2021 Kawasaki z900rs. Rides as sweet as it looks. A modern day UJM in my opinion. Not as revolutionary as the Z1 900 though.

When the coastal town of Poole wanted an eye catching photo for their all day nostalgia celebration that they call "Poole Goes Vintage," they called upon professional photographer Adrian Lambert, who came up trumps with this photo of half a dozen young models around my car.

One of the UK's largest motor museums is at a place called Beaulieu. Lord Montague of Beaulieu is the patron of the classic car show that Beaulieu promotes. Here we are on the promotional flyer of the 2015 season.
Rob Gresty runs a classic car show that he calls crotch cooler, how I hate that name. It came about when originally the show was for open top cars, the wind when the top is down cools, well I will leave you to guess the rest. Seeing our photo and car on the Beaulieu flyer, Rob got in touch and asked if he could use our car to promote his classic show. Of course he can.
A few of Adrian Lamberts photos for the Poole Goes Vintage promo, as seen above, were produced in black & white to give it a sepia period look. The MG car club of Germany used one of those black & white photos on the front of their magazine called: MG Kurier.
It was only a chance call from photographers, Grant James, that I learned about the MG Kurier promo. They liked the sepia look and wondered if they could use the car for a similar promotional shot for an up and coming festival called, Shake & Stir. This is becoming a habit.
As yet, the TV series of Foyles War and Inspector Morse have not been in touch, watch this space.
