FS: Iconic Vintage 40s/50s Montgomery/Windward Horsehide Jacket
(fits size 38-40)
Offered for sale is my Vintage Windward made of brown Horsehide with black silk lining:
Size 38-40.
Measurements (approx.):
pit to pit: 21.75 in / 55.245 cm
shoulders: 18 in / 45.72 cm
back length: 23.5 in / 59.69 cm
waist: 18 in- 19.5 in / 45.72 cm- 48.26 cm
sleeves: 24 in / 60.96 cm (straight line)
25 in / 63.5 cm (along curve)
Features the most awesome patina. I have not conditioned it, but I can if the buyer requests. It has been re-lined with black silk, and it feels great! There are a couple of vintage repairs (see photos) which just add to the rugged coolness. Snaps are present if you want to add a fuzzy collar. Crown main zipper, shoulder gussets, and gathered waistband sides make this a classic sit-on-the-hips jacket.
I feel this jacket would best fit someone 5’10 or a bit shorter, but tastes vary.
