It just looks like any other French coat from the 40s and 50s. "Canadienne" I believe they call it.

It's a classic one.

Yup. I have one, shearling with a heavy canvas (originally waxed?) outer layer. Buttoned double-front, shearling collar to fold up & fasten across the neck, inset storm cuffs etc. Post-war French manufacture. Unfortunately a bit too tight in the chest for me & definitely too short in the sleeves.

But it's INSANELY warm (called a "Canadienne" b/c the design was inspired by the heavy, heavy wool mackinaws worn by Quebecois/Metís woodsmen around the Great Lakes of N.America, known for long, cold, snowy winters). @Marc mndt you could quite likely pull this one off, but I would wait until the very coldest day of your Dutch winter, so that any sukkel's attemept to throw shade will be immediately thwarted by their jealousy of your obvious warmth, comfort, & style.

Fabulous!
Electric Leather Studio is on another level. What a score...can’t wait to see your pics when it shows up!
Thanks! I got notice that it arrived at the distribution warehouse, and paid for shipping. Unfortunately it seems like there's an indefinite hold on Japan-US Air Mail because of Covid stuff, so I might be waiting on this one awhile. -_-

Purchased this repro AfrikaKorps M40 field jacket by Mil-Tec, no patches on it of course. If it weren't for the white trim on the epaulettes, you could easily mistake it for a safari jacket. I find it a better cut than the field jackets worn by the Allied forces, which had a roomier waist, and thus boxier in shape:

It's leather. It's 70s. Leonardo di Caprio wore it in 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'. Am I going to wear it? Probably not. But it certainly looks like a nice jacket to have so I bought it :)

That reminds me of my teenage years in the early 90s. My friends and I would check out the Salvation Army looking for anything cool, from vinyl records to leather jackets. I never found the leather jacket I was looking for but I remember there was an ample selection of those leather blazers and sport coats.

Grabbed this at I think a pretty good price. I'm not sure it's been worn more than 10 times. Zippers (Talon and C&C) look completely untouched. I'm guessing early 80s. 25inch and change back length so hoping it will hold me over on my search for a longer Cal in the meantime. Worst case, I'm figuring out something to do with that collar. Maybe fit it to my Commando.

Vanson. I'm pretty sure 1980-84 range. There's a hand written ID number in the pocket I need to research. Hoping it's the same leather as my C2 from same time frame.

Perfect measurements for me too. But is definitely overkill, impulse. Still eyeing a couple Cals too, waiting on info. But this was a good deal, it's my weakness lol. I really need to stay off the shopping sites.

I was the only bid on the Cal $200. I paid $600 for the black one I purchased early this year with a proxy bid at $900 and got some slack here from competitors for not waiting for the auction to end.
Not sure if this Cal will fit hard to tell from the pictures with the tape

Just recently snatched this half-belt (right?) jacket from Lee Trevor. I didnt received it yet but judging from the pictures it looks like its very good quality.

Before sealing the deal I read pretty much every post/thread on the brand here on FL, as there are not so many info on the brand available out there.
