Shoulders feel tight (19-19.5) as do the arms (8.25 across bicep). About 25" pit which is as tight as the tailor said she could do.

I'm excited myself. Right when I finalized my order details, they shut down for 10 days from Covid.

Shawn told me it's getting done this week. I'm hoping I got the specs right. I basically went with measurements from a handful of other jackets I had/have and hoped for the best.

To tide myself over I got a Brooks Brothers Cafe racer on eBay 2 weeks ago. Size 48, which is rare, but still didn't fit right. I got a tailor to take in the hem by 6 inches in circumference and the pits by a half inch. It isn't bad but still not what I had in mind.
Post pics as soon as you have them. I’m getting my single rider in the same hide!

Ok. I'm hesitant as I know how exacting the standards are here! I hope it gets the stamp of approval.
I’m sure it will be fantastic. I’m anxious to hear your thoughts on the hide too. Shawn will send you post production shots. They probably will make you nervous. Don’t be.

There is a big difference between the steer and the goat, I thought it's not that noticeable but I took a picture today of the Cr and my second jacket and the goat has got much more character. After wearing the CR in the past months, shows very little signs of wear so I understand why Shawn is considering this as a good leather for fashion jacket. The goat on the other hand already develops some creases and it's just a different story.

The steer only gets softer .I put one of them in the dryer wet on high heat for 4h .It only milled the hide to a pebble finish and it got soft.

I've asked him about the canvas too, the only way to have it done is to provide him the fabric.
I asked Shawn about thick canvas. He doesn't have one himself, but can arrange it. The problem with arranging might be that I would like to see beforehand what it looks like and what colors there are. So I'm currently tend to the vest with pockets made from Steerhide. I shortened the pockets because the proportions are better for me.

I definitely like smaller pockets, you're right about those proportions.

I was thinking to have a cossack done in canvas but I'd like to see what he can get first so I'm not sure if that's going to happen.

Drank all the coffee. Now I want Tony's winter halfbelt in the new natural CXL with some sort of matching fur collar and the pocket configuration of Thedi's Hektor style. Talk me out of my mania...

Nope. I can't talk you out of that. I love that jacket and have emailed Shawn about the very one. Hoping to hear back as he's been MIA for a week or so (yes, EID and Covid-19, I know).

2 weeks update, the Shawn CXL steer softens up a lot, I only with i had smaller chest/armhole but it’s becoming a bit more comfy.. just the chest/waist is not tailored which is a shame but overall I like this leather
