According to my wife I am working on the grumpy old dude thing and getting good at it.
Ha! My wife blew right past "grumpy" and zeroed in on that seven letter word that starts with an "a" and ends with "hole". I wish I could remember when that was but we're creeping up on our 40th anniversary in a few months so there's just too much ground to backtrack on.

I have one of Grizz’s hats and I love it. Wonderfully comfortable and has its own ‘personality’. Little bit rough around the edges, but if you can overlook that, so much better than a modern machine made hat (and I have a few of those). He has a good variety of styles. I have the Reaper hat and would recommend to anyone.
How do you like his 'signature' cloth sweat bands?
Surprisingly very comfortable. I used to wear a distressed cavalry hat with a leather sweatband which I was always ‘fidgeting with’ when I was wearing it. The Reaper hat just sits there - don’t even know I have it on sometimes.

I’m with you. I just like the grumpy old dude in the videos!

The other day I responded to her response to one of my comments...something to the effect that due to us spending so much time together through the pandemic she would soon tire of me and my stories......her reply was...."Dear, I have listened to them for 45 years now so it would appear as though I have patience, forebearance and staying power."

Hilarious Al.
If the shoe fits...
It’s such a great word and so versatile.
Example....for fun, walking down a crowded street, droves of minions herding ahead you loudly bellow out “HEY A**Hole”, just to see how many people turn around to look. I know i’d have a conniption straining not to turn around.

I like watching his Facebook videos, he and his wife have a charming character that I enjoy. His approach to hat making seems crude which is kind of his thing and it works for what he's doing but I get a little turned off by it at the same time. I'm glad he's able to make a living doing what he's doing and I wouldn't be apposed to giving the cloth sweatbands a try even though the thought makes me cringe. I do like the idea of thinking outside the box as far as sweatbands go. They're a pain in the butt, he found a way around it and apparently he ain't goin back!
