LOL! Yeah it’s actually neon Orange but…cameras and lighting:D
Not sure about how much the elastic will realistically do against this weight. I can’t imagine much. Maybe a 6” wide strap would…That said anything this heavy absolutely demands a full AB. I wouldn’t know how to spec it otherwise.

rivet on couple of these.:D

Progress pics of the 2.2mm Halfbelt. Grainy but I can see that the pocket placement and start point for the main zip is correct (also elastic for the full AB). Apparently this is day three of its construction. Shawn described working with this leather as “extremely difficult” and it required the purchase of a new sewing machine! He has promised to make me my best jacket…I believe him.

Why does this make me feel uncomfortable just by looking at it? You can beat someone with that jacket if ever the need arose lol

Only thing I’m concerned about is that I made the chest pocket a wee bit too long. I also forgot to ask he delete the hanger loop. It’s basically a heavy duty version of ELMC’s Californian, with lowered hand warmer pockets. The 90 degree collar angle turned out really well. I can’t wait to get it.

Ton...did U have to size up an additional .25cm from Shawn's Light SXL 1.7 to the Dark SXL 2.2?
I added a bit of room but nothing crazy. Extra 1” in the chest and 1/2” in the shoulders.
Usually my jackets are tagged a 44” and they are tight. This one is tagged a 46”. Another thing I wanted omitted was the tag size but again forgot to ask.

my vest has arrived. so far satisfied :D
I would have imagined the fur to be a little fluffier. Just like my other vest, only shorter. But it's actually almost better for the summer. The cxl leather of the pockets is very hard. I can hardly imagine turning it into a jacket. But let's see how the leather develops.
I think i will wear this vest quite often ;)

some quick pictures fresh out of the box.

Holy moly that hide is thick and stiff .Looks awesome tho . Can't really use the dryer tumbling method to get it softer because it would knock out the bearing.

I can't imagine a jacket out of that hide .
But I will make a 30s style work boot out of it so maybe I can get Shawn into bootmaking .

That guy must be sore after stiching it for 3 days .Better send that guy some tip money .
Last time I told Shawn to tip the sewer 10$ . Didn't know that was a bit less than a tenth of a Pakistanis monthly payment.I got superb quality stiching .
