Himel...current wait time?

I think this is where craftsmen snd small businesses get into trouble: honesty. Us as customers are mostly reasonable and understanding when it comes to delays and wait times, but you just need to be upfront and honest about it.

Don’t send emails out stating 8-12 weeks when it’s more like 8-12 months and don’t tell me you’ve started on my order if you haven’t. I literally will understand everything else, but lying is just plain bad business tactics. I know you’re trying to save face, but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and tell the truth so that everyone is aware of the real, true situation.

I would be more pissed off if someone told me they started my jacket and lied to me rather than them telling me they can’t start it for another 6 more months.

I should add I do not have any orders with Himel, I am just speaking theoretically here and about all manufacturers. Just trying to give some advice to any of them if they happen to poke around here.

I get the pandemic wrecked ops, but I received two Vanson customs(even with their supplier issues) and three custom LW’s over the course of the time I’ve been waiting for the Himel. only speaking up because I just saw an email from them saying their current wait time for custom is 8-12 weeks. I hope they can actually honor that.

8-12 weeks LOL I'll be coming up on the 12 MONTH mark pretty soon here. I'm sure it's just a miscommunication, I'm sure they don't mean 8-12 weeks total, but 8-12 more weeks from today, regardless of how long you've already been waiting, or whatever you were told in a previous email(s) LOL.

I'm with other people here who have said it's not the wait so much as it is the lies. I was told different things at different times, and each time what they told me contradicted what they had told me the last time.
