Need help identifying a song...

I wanted to know if anyone could identify the song that Katharine Hepburn and Jimmy Stewart were dancing to on the edge of the fountain in Philadelphia Story? They had just come back from her engagement party and they are both a little tipsy and are dancing around the edge of a fountain and listening to the radio. Its a short clip but I love the song that is playing. Any help appreciated!

Understood, I now know the exact moment you are talking about (I think the radio even sounds a bit tinny - maybe). I tried to find a clip of that exact moment on Youtube but couldn't. Next time the movie is on, I look for it and see what I can come up with.

FF, I’m well acquainted with the movie and have heard the music outside of it but no way in hell did I know the answer to the question and I’m still not sure it’s right, hence the ? mark. I did make the query several different times changing a few words around and ran across some vague IMBD like trivia site where someone had asked the same question and that was answer provided. If nothing else, 25 years in LE taught me there are always different ways of asking the same thing.

That bit with the snazzy clarinet solo? I believe that's an original cue by Franz Waxman pastiching a Gershwin-type melody rather than a pre-existing popular song. "I've Got My Eyes On You", a Porter song written for "Broadway Melody of 1940," turns up when Stewart and Hepburn dance at the party earlier on, but that song is not what's playing at the fountain.
