I am sure I said that before, but that 5* is such a total win. The heavy goat has character, the design is super nice, and the price is, well, a 5* price. Yeah, one could get a Mulholland for about 8x more, but would you be getting eight times more jacket? Well done.

Thank you! I don't own any expensive jackets so I cannot compare them. I'm sure there are differences quality-wise between them but I'm more than happy with this purchase. I'm glad I went for this design and the goat is fantastic indeed, fits and feels great!

Barbour x Triumph x Alexander Leather in super heavy Horween Steerhide. This thing weighs a tonne lol View attachment 343836 View attachment 343837 View attachment 343838 View attachment 343839 View attachment 343840 View attachment 343841

That looks fantastic! Love the colour of this one. Have you got any pictures zipped up?

Thanks mate.

The leather is that thick / heavy that it's a nightmare to zip up.

I'll try my best to zip it up and send post some photos.

otherwise I believe there is nothing magical in the way they sew the panels that other makers don't know or can't do, by looking at this random no brand MC jacket surviving this abuse, I confidently say that

This is a well made, sturdy cross zip. While primarily attempting to capitalize on Avirex's name to downright copying their styles, Aviatrix still made a very decent, heavy jacket and this is one of those delicately built motorcycle cross zips from the 90's when the standard for these was still quite high actually so it's no wonder it held up to all this punishment.
Many other, truly cheap jackets wouldn't.

I m surprised a little bit of plaid works to make a less boring solid color combination in my clothes, i still dont like to wear plaid as itself but as mid layer it works surprisingly well with any jackets leather and denim

and as a person with glasses, it is extremely helpful to wear a shirt made of lens cleaning cloth. I clean the smudgy screen of my mobile phone on it, wipe my glasses with it.

I tried plain approx. 10 times and it lasted for less than a day at each instance. I just can't get bring myself to like it. On myself. I always thought it looks super cool on other people but it's funny, I can't stand it, even having a glimpse of it in the peripheral vision & I can wear all kind of crap. . .

after it's a bit cooler today, i take the opportunity to wear a jacket again.

It's colder here too though I don't think it's a word that should even be used in such a context because it simply feels like it's possible to wear a T-shirt comfortably. I'm afraid I've two to three more months to wait until the opportunity to wear a jacket.

I never like plaid flannels shirt, especially one with chest pocket made from diagonally rotated pattern, or when the shoulder edge doesn't match with the pattern from the back part... uggghh.

this one though has very minimal pattern, small non triggering pattern, doesn't create optical / flickering illusion either :)
