Could it be that the once excessive posting has declined? There was a time when The Lounge was really addictive, but those, "in your face" adverts are beyond annoying, to the point where my tolerance level overloads and I simply log off.This used to be an entertaining thread and then it slipped into a coma.
I lurked for two or so years before I became a member. After signing up, I did not really post for the next few years. It might be that some of the lurkers (when they become more comfortable) will at some point become members.
I have no desire to see the movie. The Rock/Dwayne Johnson is probably a nice enough person, but that does not mean he should star in such a movie. But then what do I know? The Fast and Furious movie franchise has made a lot of money and has a lot of fans. I have not watched any of them.

I finally broke down and watched the first movie just to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything. In my opinion I was not and, as best as I can remember, have only seen the first sequel once. If I want to see cartoon cars I'll watch Speed Racer....The Fast and Furious movie franchise has made a lot of money and has a lot of fans. I have not watched any of them.
That's more or less my experience, I can't remember exactly how long I lurked for. Although "dressier than thou," was never my experience, I felt that Loungers were far more knowledgeable than me. However, once I started posting i felt confident enough to engage with such eminent company. One thing that lurking taught me was to leave well alone if a spat arose, after all, it's difficult to argue in an empty room.

It is good to see you posting. I am annoyed enough by just the previews for the Fast and Furious movies that I would probably explode if I was forced to sit through just thirty minutes.Been a member for some time but haven't posted in Idk how long. Agreed. Also saw reviews where it was compared to the '99 Brendan Fraser Mummy movie which is considered a better film. A simple story that's been told a million times over.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who has never seen an FF movie.
