Got this nice rayon shirt from Bronson. Really impressed by the quality of their stuff.

The Bronson is exquisite and that Reyn Spooner must be unique. Four buttoned pockets and shoulder epaulettes, amazing. The geometric shape of the Andrade has a good aesthetic, great shirts.

Thank you, I have passed on your compliment to my shirt maker, all she said was: "Aw shucks!" (whatever that means.)

...and I like those shoes.

They don't get much in the way of wear of late. The lock down that has run from March of last year, more or less put paid to the type of period dances that we used to go to. When I wore them to such events, with white laces instead of black, the white vamp closes perfectly over the tongue, times that I got asked how I managed to get my spats to fit so close.

Did I post young Benjamin's birthday shirt, (five-years-old.) I won't show you him wearing it, not without asking his parents first. He loves it.

The lockdown put paid to everything it seems, apple cart upended, and subsequent settlement
still a strewn mess. Finally got around to some sweater safari hunting this afternoon, also looked at
shoes, and made a stop at a favorite delicatsen I haven't visited in about a year. Took home a few
selections including the best roast beef to be had at any price. Looking back at summer now that autumn
is here my wardrobe needed some new blood and I finally awakened to a lack of Hawaii inside my closet.
A few Aloha shirts, ducks, and shoes to go are definitely on my buy list. :)

Without fail, my daily ritual after logging on and going through what is mostly, annoying crap in my email, I then click on to the Fedora Lounge and go straight to the: "What Hat," thread.

Today however, I was denied this simple pleasure. Time and again an error page came up. What is this foreign language? Error, what error? In exasperation I actually agreed to take my wife shopping, but only because the fabric shop was part of the shopping expedition.

Error, what error? Is my favourite web page overloaded? Here's what I consoled myself with. A woodie aloha shirt, baggy trousers, all of which came from the good lady's sewing machine and a pair of correspondents that even Benny Holiday can afford. Sorry Benny, just teasing.

The above shirt on the left hand side garnered much attention today. The lady on the desk at the garage where the car was serviced photographed it, then she called the guys in the workshop to come and see, one of them also photographed it. There was much praise to take back to Tina, I'm rather taken by the art-deco pattern.

Today we will be going in our old MG to this event.

The temperatures have dropped, mercifully, to a much more tolerable level, enough to allow my new cream felt to be worn.

This is a shirt that can really make a statement, no point being a shrinking violet when sporting something as magnificent as this.

This is a previous photo just to show you the baggy trousers that Tina made for me. How the shirt and trousers compliment one another. My new Gamble & Gunn cream felt fedora is not out of place either.

Great looking shirt and hat combo Robert, but that "drip tray" you're showing is super fancy!

View attachment 440234
When the drivers of the classic cars enter the showground they are asked if they have remembered the drip tray. For those who might have forgotten there is a disposable tray. It's one of those that you can use to cook in an oven. So when I was asked if I had remembered the drip tray I said: "Drip tray, drip tray? She doesn't have a drip tray." The Marshal reached for one of the temporary trays. "You won't be needing that," I told him, "my car doesn't have a drip tray, my car has a commode." The Marshal cracked up and waved us in.
