I always liked Randy - he seemed to be a quiet guy that just enjoyed playing music. I believe he’s had a rough time the last few years since the death of his wife.

One of The meanest and greasiest pickers to ever spank the plank, Steve "Fergy" Ferguson. Both he and keyboardist Terry Adams were from Louisville, Ky where they were members of the Mersey Beats USA. They left to form the inimitable, legendary and most rocking NRBQ.
This tune's from the 1970 Columbia LP Boppin' The Blues where the Q backed Carl Perkins. Fergy singing too.

Today is the birthday of Pee Wee Lambert. He died in 1965. He was the mandolin player for Ralph and Carter Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys. His Gibson Lloyd Loar F5 is now owned by Ricky Skaggs.
