Pretty sure that the ebay thing is shonky,, a straight buy it now price is the way to go,

Quick clarification and announcement before the perception goes wilder.
My principle is I always choose to honor my price here, and I don’t sugarcoat my motive, which is necessarily to do with trying to avoid ebay’s fees. Honoring my listing here means even if a hot ebay bidding is underway, I’d sell here if someone wants to buy here.
of course, this would mean I’d end the bidding and can annoy people, except the actual buyer here.
Moving forward, I am going to stop the dual listing strategy, and adopt a strict sequential approach. One market place at a time. I understand ending a mid-auction item can be frustrating.

As for why this RW27752 got listed three times on ebay, it’s quite simple, although it’s easy to attribute it to some BS sneakiness or greed. Like I said, while not obvious, I alway honor the fixed price here as I post here first before ebay. I don’t owe anybody an explanation why the three re-listings but I’d be happy to explain. first early ending was because a guy offered a good buy now price, he wanted it bad. Then he didn’t like the fit, some measurements were off (my fault), so I took it back. Second round, the winner didn’t see its goat, so he cancelled. Now in the third round.

While it inevitably is going to look strange (to the ebay watchers) I am going to end the sales on ebay and only keep it here. I feel this is the better way, while accepting it reduces the exposure of the item.
(Moving forward, I may equally opt to terminate here while remain on ebay).

Regius is a long time respected member here with many sales, including to me. Selling on ebay is tough, I gave up long ago, lots of people bid thinking they wont win and then decide they can't pay. Regius owe no explanations to anyone here

Final update on measurement, I just noticed the back (of 24.5) doesn’t make sense! It’s actually 26, typical “back height” of John’s jackets in this size. Totally my fault. But sleeves are still 25 (not sure why but the visual proportion corroborates).

For your information & if your a member of vlj, you would see I have said reg is a good guy. I sold him my eastman luftwaff years ago and had agreed to meet him in New York last year to purchase his langlitz,, covid meant my trip was cancelled. My post was regarding the multitude of new posters who have appeared and seem to be on a selling spree. My intention was not to insult reg. Hope that clears that up to your satisfaction.

Yes it was me reg, I was coming off the Queen Mary and all sailing was cancelled. I was looking forward to meeting up with you as arranged but sadly it wasn't to be. I will certainly message you again when I can get the sailing rescheduled, regards Peter, & I will attach a posting from vlj

Peter, it was a pity indeed, the covid. At least I assume you and wife kept healthy. I don’t want to get under the spotlight on the public forums, if necessary I’d speak out and speak for myself although I do really appreciate the supportive comments by all here. Truth is, my dual market place selling practice was less than thought-through, so I made the announcement and took a position.
