The felt pic definitely shows its manufacturing lineage. Cool hat.

Looking sharp. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent shares of late. You keep the South America hat contingent in first place for the coveted Sharp Dressed Man award.

Glorious hat. Glad to see you posts sir.

Classic hat.

Looking good in hemp.

So pleased to see the Feather weight hats getting some mention on this thread. You have quite the representatives. Thanks for sharing.

Go Stetson warm weather lids. Thanks for sharing Perry.

You wear the big brim SunBidy hats well.

I hope the felt hat means the heat has broken in your area of the US. Cheers.

Bob you look darn sharp. Hat and all!

The hat, grimace and all, appear sharp.

Cheers, Eric -
Thanks Eric!

I’m glad you joined our group and I like seeing new hats. I hope you post often!

When you add photos you should select “full sized” images when you can. It would also be helpful to see the hats in a brighter environment. I’d love to see more of the details than what some of your photos reveal. Thanks!
Sorry dude for the late answer: first my house is dark so litle space with light and take this photo at night. For the full image buttton never realised that are one for the future i pay more atentention.

Fantabulous line up and photo essay today Eric

Received a free pass to skip out on going to the in-laws today. Celebrating and kicking back while tipping back in a Stetson boater:

I took my home brew Sunrise nutria felt kayaking on the Wapsi River today. It was a long trip and I'm worn out. My 70 year old mother went along and kicked butt. She had bloody legs by the end from knocking against her sit inside kayak. She was determined to make the trip with us and I'm so proud of her. She's a trooper.

Lion Hats - Premium Centredent
Grey/BlueGrey Felt
4 3/4 crown as shaped with center dent - about 5 inch open
2 inch speckled pattern blueish ribbon
2 inch brim with blueish silver/grey grosgrain binding
Grey sweatband

This is the third hat from the recent trio of hats is by Lion Hats… the predecessor brand of Beaver Brand hats by Langenberg. I’ve had a few hats made by Langenberg/Beaver for other brands but none with the Lion Hats brand. Most of the ones I’ve come across have all had the same kinda later 60s stingy with black sweat. This one while it doesn’t appear to be much older and still a short brim at two inches is a bit less run of the mill to me. First off the ribbon has an unusual and beautiful pattern to it. And second is the grey leather sweat which is more of the out of the ordinary to me. I did not want to get too deep under the sweat and risk cracking so I did not find any manufacturers tag. The plastic liner tip covering the purple Lion Hats logo and the look of the sweat reeding along with the styling leave me no reason to think age is any earlier than 60s… or late 50s at earliest. Still I find it an intriguing hat. The “imported Coney Fur” (rabbit) felt color is fairly hard to pin down. It is a steel grey with a bit of blue tones in lower light. Though I noticed in today’s super bright direct sun it had an almost pinkish or lavender hue. Add to that it has.. I think from age.. a slight yellowish cast that sits right at the surface of the fibers. So it is a bit of a chameleon. I am really happy with how well this one cleaned up considering the lumpy dusty mess it was in the seller photos.
