The second hat of the day is a classic that cannot be more classic.

A Barbisio production of the seventies or perhaps the sixties in a combination of colors seen several times in Italy, as well as the shape and proportions.

Barbisio Classic, Qualità Extra Extra size 59 centimeters, but more a 58 than the size indicated, arrived so far in excellent condition.

The medium weight felt is very malleable and has a dark gray with a black ribbon.

The felt color is called "Rimini" as the town on the Adriatic sea, the ribbon is black with an ancient bow design

These are the measurements: the raw brims are at 5.5 cm, the crown at its lowest point is at 10.5 cm. and the black ribbon is 4.5cm. high

As mentioned in other posts, the classic Barbisio, that was made in Sagliano Micca in the historic production workshop, are increasingly scarce, so when I find someone I buy it, this for some lover of the Italian classics with a head diameter suitable for its measures

My Barbisio curiosity arrived. It’s a very unusual hat. The inside of the hat, under the liner, there is a rough textile backing. It also has orange stains all over the…felt? Despite the 60cm/6 1/2 Punti size tag, it’s very small: it measures 7 7/8 by 6 1/8. It’s also very heavy. No labels hiding under the sweatband. Here it is in all its glory!

Brent, Interesting. I think it was made in Columbia and for the Columbian market. Here is a Tonak Hückel Guama Somberero made for the Venezuelan market.

I have nothing to complain with those who have a small hat size, let's say from 56 towards the small, but yesterday and today classifying and photographing these hats I was envious.

Barbisio "Nuove Creazioni - Qualità Extra Extra" size 55 cm or a 6 7/8 in US.

The color of the heather felt is "Talpa" which is finished with medium hair, very malleable.

As its bigger brothers it arrived new after all these years

It is definitely a unique one Brent. Lots to like about this one, that finish! And Nutria to boot. Not even my style, but I would build an out fit around this one. Kinda cool!

I think this will be, for now, the last batch of the small sizes. A few more will appear in the next days

Barbisio presumed size 55 cm or 6 7/8 US. No paper label present or other indication

The color of the felt, very beautiful, is a quite dark burgundy, very bold

The hat is unlined and very basic, I have one of the same type in blue, size 61 cm. very interesting to wear on humid days

This has a smaller aspect ratio

The raw brims are 5.5 cm, the crown open at its maximum height is 13 cm and the ribbon is 1.5 cm. high in the same color felt.

A hat produced in the Seventies at the end of the glorious history of Barbisio di Sagliano Micca - Biella.

I'm always glad to find a good Barbisio hat and while I am waiting for a few very very good ones my friend Daniele @Daniele Tanto has found for me (to be fair, he is much closer to the source), I was very happy with this one.
Barbisio Sportex in argento colour. Size 57 with the overwelt brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Talpa finish, which means a longhair. A bit roomy for me at size 57, but I think I can make it work. Weighs 111 grams. The liner is killer on this one.
