A dear friend of mine tells this cool story of being in the backwoods somewhere in upstate NY, literally atop a mountain, hasn't seen a soul in days... Floating on the breeze, he begins to hear two voices. The closer they get the more he's like "wait, I <know> that voice!" ... sure enough over the ridge right there bounds DB and a friend! My pal is a huuuuuuuuge Talking Heads fan too. Said David was super friendly and relaxed ; )

Yeah that ELS design is very western…but why not?
I already dig big belt buckles and all that. I’d also enjoy wearing it with aloha or t-shirts not just articles with a definite western vibe.
At a certain point even less-ostentatious leather jackets still stand out, especially when you get outside the mall-jacket zone (or off TFL and Instagram). I know I’m one often of the few people wearing leather when I’m out and about.
All that being said I’m not 100% sold on this particular jacket. But western vibes with the fringe is pretty bad ass in my book.

Yes, looks to be the same jacket. California Sportswear made the same style of jacket in different leathers. I forgot to write the Goatskin seller and ask about the sleeve cuffs. I don't know what is happening there. Zips?
Yeah those cuffs are rad! I think it’s a false cuff/zip cuff combined. That jacket looks really cool. I like it better than mine. Looks more polished with the cuffs and button patch pockets.
