There are tons of theories out there for why blowouts occur. It does seem that some people are more prone to the crotch getting blown out than others. Personally it has never really been a problem for me. My worst offenders are my Strike Golds but even then that is a particularly set-in crease that has started to frey more than a traditional blowout. Your thighs rubbing together can of course damage the denim and cause a blowout in that fashion. Wearing a low rise jean and constantly putting pressure from walking can also seem to cause blowouts at the seams. There is then also the school of thought that infrequent washing is the main culprit due to set-in sweat causing the threads to become brittle. So basically no one really knows the reason but it does seem, from what I've observed, some people are more prone to it than others.

since the jacket is usual. I put it here, fabric 21oz unsanforized rht high tension from Collect, they say warp is short strand (hairy outside) and weft is long strand (smooth inside) cotton, jeans is indonesian WarpweftCo , 2 and half year in rotation, mostly indoor wear. Rarely washed 3x including presoak, i clean it mostly with vacuum cleaner and spray antibacterial + fungus aerosol spray inside .
No blowout no weakening, i wear it very tight on top block, 1st jeans mistake bought size 28 normally I wear 30. Im really bad at leaving imprint on my pants

Picked up a worn out 50’s Hercules blanket lined denim jacket, looks pretty beat up but I love it.

As with all things fashion, it's only a matter of time. The rise of eighties retro made it somewhat inevitable that men's jeans would get tighter as a fashion norm. I've found wry amusement in watching the kind of guys who back in the 90s used to shout 'freak' at us in our punk drainpipes buying into jeggings because of fashion diktat. What I'm really watching for is a return to waistbands on the natural waist, which hasn't been the case since possibly the mid 90s here. Jeans I find it easy to track down what I want, but I certainly wouldn't complain about having the chance to buy a stack of decent cotton slacks in an early 50s pattern at supermarket prices. Here in the UK Sainsburys does a lot of great, ethically produced basics, but inevitably everything is cut to fashion norm to maximise sales, so that has long ruled out their trousers for me.

Yeah, I think, the slim-fit thing went on here for at least fifteen years, from classic pipe jeans over skinny jeans and finally Jeggings/tTreggings.
I wouldn't wonder, if boot cut jeans will come back, soon.

Everything comes round again sooner or later in fashion terms: there are only so many ways you can cut trousers. The waistband on natural waist is long overdue a return to the mainstream, however.

Vintage Wrangler Sanforized Zip-Thru 24MJZ, not entirely sure on the year, could be early 70s late 60s.
The way you pull this style off is kickass. Very few people get it. You do.

Yeah they are kapital century denim pants and the suede ones are vintage Levi’s big e from the 60s.

I'm familiar with them. I have a pair of the 277 and a NF collab. Mine are not that faded yet, though.
