I have a buffalo coat just like the one Arnie is wearing in that picture. I got if from my dad, who had it gifted to him years ago. It's massive and the warmest thing I've ever worn. My buddies found old RCMP buffalo coats and we wear them in the winter to CFL games when it's snowing or we go to Grey Cup. I've only rarely received a negative comment with most people actually wanting to try it on once they actually see it up close.

Don't think I'd actually wear it anywhere else though, the weight and size make it pretty impractical. My dogs are terrified when I wear it though, which is also humorous.

The look of fur without the social hassle. Vintage Zero King wool coat, mother of pearl buttons, and Borsalino Gorasgu fedora, which of course does have fur. I bought my first vintage Zero King when living in New York in the early 90's. I have 2 of them now, recently bought on eBay because I missed my old one so much.

^ most excellent coat Mike, thanks for posting!
amazing to see the interior fur-lined, must be extremely warm
Thank you. Yes, very warm. These old coats are like old American pick-up trucks, they just don't make them like this anymore! If memory serves, I think the Zero King I bought back in the early 90's, which was vintage then, was fur-lined inside halfway down, then had red plaid quilting on the lower half of inside. I still miss it. I walked all around the town of Ossining, NY in the famous Blizzard of March 1993 in that coat and was warm as toast.
