Clinch black overdyed horsebutt or Latigo Emgineer boots?

Hi guys,
Does anyone know the main difference between Latigo and horsebutt Clinch offers? Obviously there is a price difference between both: 1750€ vs 2150€. Is the horsebutt thicker and is the overall quality better than Latigo leather (tanning technique, more rare hides, etc.??). As I‘m about to place an order tomorrow, I’m kinda torn which one to select. The black horsebutt used on my Jodhpurs is the nicest boot leather I’ve handled so far.
I hope someone can help me . This pair of Engineers boots is supposed to be the only pair of Engineers in my boot collection. That’s why I already decided not to choose Attractions horsebutt boots, because quality of Clinch seems to be better.
Many thanks in advance!!
Cheers
Robbie

Latigo is a saddlery type leather from Horween. The one used by Brass is very thick, palpably thicker than the Italian Horsebutt. They are both nice leathers of course. I prefer the Italian Horsebutt personally as it has a shorter break in period.

@Mich486 @Jin431 Many thanks for your feedback and advice - I do highly appreciate it. In parallel I was talking to a fellow lounge member who owns both and has also recommended to buy the Horsebutt one since breaking-in time is shorter, better tea-core effect, slightly thinner leather. As soon as I made my decision I‘ll let you know.
Cheers,
Robbie

Hi Robbie, may I ask who are you dealing with for the engineer boots? Directly with Brass Tokyo or through a distributor?
@TheBigEraser I‘ve just bought the Horsebutt Engineer boots through DC4 Berlin (@Tusche has also recommended them to me) and they will be shipped around middle/end of November as they always order a certain qty 1 year in advance. I can’t wait to receive them!
