Kind of a maiden voyage for the Aubergine Rabbit Lord's Hat. One of my more unusual custom creations by Mike Miller of NW Hats. The Lord's hat is a homburg that is "dressed down" for casual wear by not having an edge binding. The long hair finish is really special, called melusine. Styled from a hat on Downton Abby.

Now that is a fancy Lord's, Michael. Purple Melusine no less. As the youngsters would say, that hat is “off the chain.”
You and Mike M have outdone yourselves with that custom creation.

Oooh! Aaaah! What are the dimensions on that? I dig the color.

Thanks! It was reblocked from 6 7/8 up to 7, and because I am more of a "measure once, cut twice" type I neglected to note the original dimensions. The crown is just over 5", the brim ended up about 2 3/8 in the front and 2 1/2 on the sides. I'm not sure if that dimensionality is original, or a result of the reblock.

Wow! That felt comes to life in the sunlight, Jared! The hand looks fantastic and the shape is the perfect complement to the velour.

thanks Brent! The flange was just plain old dumb luck. A while back I picked up a 6 7/8 #52 for those 'without-removing-the-sweatband' halfway reblocks. It came with this 7 1/8 #33 flange and I didn't have a use for it until now. I'm very pleased with the result.

He could show his beater hats once in a while so the rest of us would have a chance!!

Those are his beaters.

You did a great job. It really pops.

Gooood morning hat folks. Thanks for sharing your hats and for the likes for my hat wearing escapades yesterday.

Yesterday late afternoon and evening I was wearing a Gannon Wanderer (granite beaver with charcoal ribbon trimmings).

This mornings dog soirre was enjoyed in a Stetson Open Road 3X. I have this fedora in a tugboat crease. IMO, it works great with this hat.

Some early morning coffee in a Stetson Sovereign Twenty Open Road. IMO, a gentle diamond crease works better with this hat.
