Not only for Winter. My vintage Nutria started out as a "Oppenheimer" style hat.

I would honestly love to have more vintage Nutria hats to add to my collection...

Even though it was a Western the felt is also thin and light enough to be a fedora for Spring and Summer wear. I really like these vintage Nutrias.
There was so much energy radiating from his brain it warped the felt!

That's one good-looking nutria fedora, T. You can resurrect, refurbish, reconstruct and convert just about anything.

View attachment 371455 MaxLachlan Golden Beaver Hundred. The X was unintentional, but since it took two months to have the hat restored by Optimo, and we cleaned it, replaced the ribbon, reblocked it, and duplicated the crest in the new sweatband, I decided to leave it. :) View attachment 371456 View attachment 371457 View attachment 371458 View attachment 371459 View attachment 371460 View attachment 371461
Beautiful Max! Optimo did a great job on that one.

Steve; Man you got some hats! I tune in and pause with your posts. The uniqueness of the felts, hats, shapes, hues and of course the juicy details. I appreciate your hat passion. Thanks for my daily fix with today's Seal Velour. That is quite a felt.

Cheers, Eric -
Eric, Thank you! Your collection is fantastic! This thread brings a smile to my face everyday. You are a main reason.

Hard to beat those hats, gentlemen.

New in just arrived from Wosfbrae Custom Hatters (@belfastboy). It is silverbelly, 160gr Ukrainian rabbit felt, suede finish. 2 7/8" raw brim, 6" open crown with top crown and side venting, and unlined with bright copper grosgrain ribbon, and neutral brim binding. I’m digging it.

I see trees of green, clouds of white…

First, a big thank you to all those who have been giving me positive comments and like lately. I don't acknowledge those things enough and it's appreciated.

Second, y'all been knocking it out of the park lately. Great hats, and special mentions for Joe and Steve.

I'd give Eric a nod, too, but I don't want it to go to his Short Balding Head!!

I keed, i keed.

A little change of pace for me. anton Peschel from West Germany. A super nice velour and Stefan's favorite color!

Early morning dog soirre in a Stetson Playboy. I do love the blue-ish ribbon treatment of this gray hat.

The morning temps were around 26'f (-3'c) and a warm jacket was needed.

Up before the sunrise and started a fire. What a luxury to enjoy the ambiance of a safe wood fire. It appears big, but no more wood will be added as I want it to burn to coals. I am planning to fix brunch for my wife and I on the coals.

Coffee and a fire - mornings are terrific. I have been attired in a Stetson St.Regis (black with a stunning gold interior).
