hot damn! Definitely want to see more of that one. Was just about set to order another comp weight jacket.
I’m going to do a three Vanson shoot out post this afternoon. Hopefully there’s some sun so I can get some decent pics. I have a meet this morning, but look forward to sharing more on this leather this afternoon. I wasn’t sure I’d like it from what I’ve seen in the TB thread. But my mind has certainly been made up. It’s great stuff, far better than I expected.

It looks fantastic! make me want to try one on, but it seems to me like SJC's clothing is not made for someone with my kind of frame...
Anyways, except for the split back, it's one of my favorite from him so far!
I think I may be in the minority here but I love the chunky double zip on this style of jacket. Perfect fit as always.

First I felt like it was a bit wide and that I could probably wear one size down, but judging by the body and sleeve length I think that this is how these jackets were worn back then. The condition is amazing, like I bought it new last year.
The Rin Tanaka Harley book is great. It's about much more than just HD gear, it tells the history of mc gear in general.

Got up this morning and it was 48 degrees! Tennessee weather soon warmed up a bit but it was nice wearing it in cool crisp weather while it lasted. Lost Worlds J-23 Denim and Midweight Horse.

Im in my Vanson vest. No pic, but thought it would be cool to post a picture of horses at a pub. The ladies rode in, “parked” the horses and sauntered up to the bar.

He just released a new line of outerwear with belted backs, brown, black, wool/leather,etc.
I thought the split back would bother me but I don’t mind it.

Marc had it shipped to my crib and I shipped it onward with the Brent. It was bubble wrapped and it took all my will power not to unpack it and look through it. Lol. It was more important that it arrive in Amsterdam unscathed, so I held off.
is that a zipper on the base of the collar? is it meant to attach a fur collar sleeving?

It's indeed a zipper for mouton collar attachment. The teeth have soft edges that don't scratch.

Love this jacket. Gotta get me one!
Conditioned this Leathershop jacket today. I had to wash it and the leather feels better now. Still thin and the quality of the jacket is not great but somehow I'm beginning to like it. I don't know if I will wear it that much because it really screams "biker", especially with engineers. I want my motorcycle back!
