WTB: LL Bean Goatskin Bomber Or Similar

I'm trying to track down one of the LL Bean goatskin bombers with the wool/shearling liner and mouton collar. I'm a size 38 in most jackets but for this I'm probably better off in a size 40 since the liner takes up room and I'd like to layer underneath it. Ideally it will have a 1 or 2 piece back and be Made in USA (basically just not the Turkey version). The "or similar" in the posting title means I'd also be interested in any goatskin jacket of a similar style with a wool liner and mouton collar. Picture below is for reference in case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about.

They always pop up. In this group of jackets, there are many good makers. Gibson & Barnes (Flight suits LTD) are in the same group. Schott is also a nice one in that price range. Schott runs a little big and is slightly nicer that Gibson & Barnes. Most of them have a man made mouton liners.

@photo2u yeah there’s definitely not a shortage of G-1’s or A-2’s like this, the LL Bean in particular just represents an ideal for me. The super dark brown color, handwarmer pockets, and even that bit of leather that extends into the knit are all neat features to me. Schott has obviously made this kind of jacket for years but it’s either an authentic G-1 meaning no handwarmer pockets or it’s cowhide which is less ideal.

Those are nice jackets and available all over eBay - although the shearling lined/mouton collar version is a little more rare.

@Craig from Craigslist, if you’re still on the hunt for a LL Bean Goatskin Jacket, I have one that I would sell for $150 shipped in US. Will include a few pics now but will post more detailed pics if you or anyone else is interested. Jacket is size 40 (I’d say a generous 40 so there is room for layering), shearling lined with mouton collar. The jacket is in great condition and the shearling lining and fur collar still very plush. There are two small holes (more like snags) in the wool trim, one in the back of the waistband and one on the inside of one of the sleeves. Neither of the holes goes all the way through the trim. I’m not sure of the jacket’s age but it’s vintage. I purchased it on eBay about 5 years ago and have only worn it a handful of times since. Comes from a non smoking, pet free home.

This is my first post/comment on TFL. I signed up in the spring of 2020 but have only browsed the site learning more about leather jackets and the various styles and hides. I did purchase a jacket off TFL last month, a beautiful 1950’s HH half belt. The transaction went very smoothly. I’m sure the member would provide feedback for me if necessary.

The label in the jacket is hard to read but here’s what it says:

Shell: Garment Goatskin
Lining: Shearling Lambskin
Collar: Shearling Lambskin
Trim: 100% Wool
Professional Dry Clean Only

Additional pics showing the holes/snags in the wool waistband and cuff (left sleeve) and also a small scuff in the leather on the left sleeve.
