I think a size 42 should already fit. At least if the Corsair is a Dominator without chest pockets. Here are the measurements of the Dominator.

I got the dimensions directly from Rip. Interesting perhaps also the info to the front drop of the Dominator.

The Corsair is shorter and a little tighter than the Dominator. You are probably correct to add length.

Do you have the measurements of the jacket? I'm a 41.5 inch chest. I can't imagine the 42 being too snug unless you plan to layer thick sweaters, etc.

My size 42 Lightning (different cut I know) is certainly snug (in a good way I think) but there's still some give. I definitely couldn't put on a thick wool sailor sweater or anything like that. Maybe a thinner cotton sweatshirt or hoodie would still be ok.

edit: just saw the dimensions posted after your original. yeah, 42 is fine. It's about 4 inches of ease.

Yup, 42 it is. Let's see whether the hem can be trimmed by an inch. Adding some extra length is of course no problem for LL.

LL said the Corsair has the same pattern as the Dominator. Just without chest pockets and the handwarmer pockets have a different angle.
The dimensions are the same.
There would then also immediately my question to those who own a Dominator or Corsair... have your jackets a front drop? How big / small is it? @Tom71 ?

I searched a few more pictures and saw that the front probably ends at the same height as the rear. Front drop should therefore be at 0 cm. This also coincides with the information from Rip.

So I will order now:
Corsair, dark brown veg tanned sheep, beige zippertape, dogtooths lining and gold satin in the sleeves.

By the way, with the new store LL has become a bit more expensive and shipping is now also charged separately.
But I'm looking forward to the new jacket

Somehow something like that I thought, because otherwise you would certainly have give the length of the FD.

Ordered. But I have changed gold satin to black satin, because I think it fits better to the dogtooths lining.
Now the long wait begins.
But maybe I will have them by next spring. lol
