Echter Rockel Velour possibly later 1920s. This hat arrived over the Summer after being sent by mistake to China.

Glad to see the hat made it in the end (not all of them do). Would have been a shame if such a fine hat had been lost. The bow is incredible.

Next in the black pre-war series, another European.

French again but in long hair finish this time. Unknown maker but similar size tag Fletchet used View attachment 381500
Wool or wool mixture, so not real velour ;) nice sheen, though quite rough hand. Double bow, old style wind-cord View attachment 381501
Textured and laced sweatband View attachment 381502
Le blason

I hope you enjoy it
Beautiful hat, Panos. I'm really enjoying this series. The bow and the windcord bring just that bit of extra to this hat.

Enjoyed some cool air this afternoon under the Stetson Flagship after a fairly positive job interview.

Excellent parade of hats, Joe. I think this version of the Borsalino fu Lazzaro was made in Canada under license.

They are obviously buying it for the celebrity connection because that is not a very nice hat. I’ll also confess that I don’t have any idea who Tom Waits is.
Gasp! You have some catching up to do, Brent! Not to everyone's taste (thank goodness), but Tom Waits is more than worth checking out. I've been a fan for a long time.

Beautiful!

Started off this American Thanksgiving holiday with this British brown bowler by Tress and Co of London

But I started to feel the beautiful brown Knox homburg was the way to go today

Happy Thanksgiving
Love the Knox homburg, Joe.

That is just magnificent, Dave.

Good morning folks.

The morning dog soiree hat was a Gannon Wanderer (silverbelly beaver felt with charcoal trimming).

After getting home I took a cup of coffee on a walkabout. A Knox Twenty kept my head warm and styl'n.

Cheers, Eric -
All of this weeks' hats have been outstanding, Eric. I really like the look of that Knox.

Scott & Co beaver blend in a colour they call
St. James Blue.
Have a blessed weekend, folks. View attachment 382283
Would love to find me another one like that, Steve. In my size that is. Such a great colour (very blue indeed @Blare) and wonderful felt.

Barbisio Qualitá Extra. The third of the three hats I bought from Daniele recently. I fell for this one as soon as I saw Daniele's photos of it. Elegant style, bold colour, wonderful hand to the felt, simple but eye-catching ribbon and bow treatment, and quality finishes.
Barbisio at their best.

Late 20s Hückel 'Prima' for a later walk - and a modern Tonak 'beret' for my better half...

Thanks Panos.
We need to talk to Matt about the scarf and tie, too. Perhaps we should hold a Danish, Norwegian, Dutch, and German conference on hats, coats, scarves, ties, jackets, and suits sometime in the new year :)

Wow, that's a great idea! I think we should make it Italian too, and maybe visit the fantastic rare-hats museum there (while getting some sun): rumours has it there is no guard ;)
