TOYS McCoy has outdone themselves once again. This is the kind of grail I wouldn’t think twice to pull out my wallet. My reasoning was long gone as will you when you see it in person.

Durable “The Wild One” with its iconic B.R.M.C insignia. Horsehide. Smug fit, short body length with wide shoulders. This is size 36, it’s roomier than my Real McCoy J-24 in size 38.

Jacket: TOYS McCoy Durable Code33 "The Wild One"
Tshirt: Real McCoy’s package Tee
Belt: Orgueil
Jeans: Sugarcane 2014
Boots: YSL Wyatt Boots

Wow! Don’t know if it’s good or bad news that I probably couldn’t handle the shoulder to hem taper.

This morning at the carwash. Begging the higher powers for some sun.

Himel „The Imperial“. Still my favourite in all my jackets. May even see some more wear now that I decided to up my “brown jacket” game.

Depends if you have a relatively longer torso. Cuz they really went out of their way to make the distance between shoulder and hem shorter than most jacket, which is good news to me. It’s taper but not as restrictive as J-24 from The Real McCoy. J-24 is so tight that I can barely move my Upper body. I think you can totally pull off this jacket. With the right size, I don’t see why not.

Custom made or straight off the rack? It fits you perfect.

Thanks! It’s a size 42 with some mods as to arms and sleeves. That said, when I ordered, this model was not available from Himel’s standard catalogue, so you could say it was fully custom after all.

Haha! Don’t tempt me. I just decided that I am done with cross zips.

Well, what do we have here...is what I thought as I inspected the Aero CXL FQHH jacket I bought from rosecitymike on TFL. Mike was not the original owner, but told me the previous owner wore this beast of a jacket well and broke it in very nicely...with some tea-core effect showing though the black. Lovely! But what Aero model is it? Mike described it as a 50s half-belt...but the features of the jacket did not match Aero's profile of that jacket.

So...I looked and looked...scoured the internet, and finally figured out that this is the uncommon Aero August (and to complicate things just a bit, with elastic rather than straps to cinch the half-belt).

The jacket is awesome -great for layering - and indeed a beast! The only issue I had was that the sleeves were a good inch+ too long for my liking. Lucky for me, this jacket features a relatively simple straight hem across the cuffs. So I had them shortened. I knew this would alter the pattern a bit (the sleeve straps are now much closer to the hands), but I think it still looks great!

Here it is today, layered with an Ironheart IHJ-84NC underneath, boots are Canada West Moorby black CXL:

That placement of the straps at the cuff actually makes much more sense! I never thought of it before but now they could potentially cinch at the actual wrist as opposed to up the forearm. Smart! Looks perfect!

Yes - 100% agreed! More functional that way.
