Finally got to wear the Mil-Tec repro parka in serious Canadian cold and it was close to useless. How did anyone survive winter in Korea in these things? Even a hundred layers of clothing underneath would make little difference I'm sure.

Anyways, you can check out some photos of vintage parkas in some dude's collection at this link:

Lol
Same could be said for the original US ones even with a t-shirt, wool henley, field jacket with liner and lined M-51 on top.
As long as you kept moving it was fine. As soon as you stopped not so good.

I have an M51 parka, I cannot find an NOS liner for the same size, but I do find lots of M65 parka and Desert Night Parka liners, I wonder do either of these two liners is compatible with M51 parka?

If you are only concerned with actually wearing it to be warm, you could simply buy a liner in the correct size. A Rothco liner would probably button in and be warm. If you are concerned about authenticity and collector value, then that's a different story.

I just want to keep warm, do you know what key words should I search? I know Rothco has m51 style fishtail parka with liner, but they sell the whole set, I didn't find the liner itself

No...M51 liner is longer than M65 and button positions are different.
Let me correct myself for accuracy.
My M65 fishtail parka liner will not fit my M65 field jackets. Parka liner is longer and different button pattern but close.
No idea about M51 parka or field jacket. I didn’t realize the M51 parka was different then the M65 parka.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as an M-65 fishtail parka. But then I was only in warm weather climates. I did have an M-65 field coat, without a liner. A year or so back I bought a liner for it, similar to the one I posted for carl_c above.
