The sport of football, that's the soccer type of football, has always had a huge following, none more so than here in the UK. We have a competition every year called the F.A.Cup. (Football Association.) It's a knockout competition and it includes everyone, amateurs as well as the professionals.
This link from The Manchester Evening News, will show you photos and reports of the first ever FA Cup Final, held at Wembly, the national stadium, where it was estimated that 200,000 fans managed to get in.
That competition, The FA Cup. FA being the initials of Football Association. The abbreviation of association is: Assoc. That's where the word soccer is derived from.

Well now this can't be right, everyone knows hillbillies only wear bibs and are barefooted. These fellas are to well dressed,must be imposters.

I'm from south and west of the Tug. However my best friends wife is from the eastern side. She is distantly related to the Hatfields actually. They live in WVa. I now live in coastal North Carolina, thats what makes me a "misplaced" Hillbilly lol. If you are familiar with Louis L'Amore books and the Sacketts you'll know the Clinch Mountain Sacketts are the roughest of the bunch. I'm from the Clinch Mountains originally. There's truth in the description of the Clinch Mountain Sacketts.

Unfortunately, I never got to experience any local music scene. Most of my stories have a "Twilight Zone" quality to them, but I met some good people in those hollers.

Two nearest towns to me are Kinston and Goldsboro. Seymour Johnson AFB is 20 minutes north, and Camp Lejeune Marine base is 50 minutes south. Ft.Bragg is an hour and half or so west. Actual coastline I'm closest to Emerald Ilse.

He was a true mechanical genius. He’s sometimes compared to Peter Paul Mauser, but Browning was on a whole different level. Such a range of rifles, shotguns, and pistols is unprecedented. That his designs are still popular and arguably still the best engineered 150 years after he designed them is amazing.
