Hi TFL, just wanted to check if anyone is looking to buy Freewheelers Mulholland jacket in size 42, in almost new condition (worn twice casually). As much as I love this jacket, I love the way FW rebels (which I got few months ago) fits me compared to this. Trust me, it pains me to put this out there :( but I know I would reach to either FW rebels or the flat head single riders jackets every time I want to wear a black jacket… and this could make someone very happy.

Comes with original tags and packaging. Will throw in a jacket hanger perfectly aligned for this jacket.

Looking to sell at $2850 shipped within US. Add DHL express shipping for international. Feel free to DM if you want to discuss further or FaceTime or want videos of the jacket. I understand this jacket is a big investment.

Measurements are accurate to the brogueshop numbers pasted below :)

Cheers!

Rebels is just a more flattering fit on me. It tapers very well aligned to my body from shoulder to sleeve and chest to hem. Mulholland fits and feels well too. It just does not look as good on me, I think. See reference pics. What do you think? ;)

100% IMO but I prefer the Mulholland on you. It could just be I think the leather on the Mulholland looks better but I also prefer the kidney panel. I also prefer the one piece back of the Mulholland to the split back of the Rebel. But I'm just some random guy on the internet if you prefer how you feel in the Rebels model then stick with it :) Both look great.

Thank you for honest feedback. Mulholland is unique on its own for sure. So many different details. So, we’ll see if I end up keeping it and I will be happy eventually or not regret doing this now ;) or someone will snag it from me :)

Too rich for my blood for me to consider this (I'll stick with my "budget" RMC Nelson to fill this niche) but how do you find the comfort of the Mulholland? I've seen some people say it's not comfortable, but that's probably due more to the pattern not working with the body type, a problem I have encountered myself with certain jackets. Not poking holes in your sale, I'm sure you'll have no trouble moving this, just curious of your experience as I'll likely never handle one in person.

This post convinced me to break my Muholland out of “retirement”. Been a while since I have worn this jacket. Have thought of selling it many times, but nah….not gonna do it. Wear it, break it, don’t sell, it looks better than the Rebel IMO. Both look great though.

it is a perfect jacket in terms of fit and comfort. Can wear it unzipped or zipped up without any issues. I’m 6’00” and 185ish lbs with classic trapezoid body shape.

For me, it is the way sleeves are “not formed” to my body and are folding at arms even though they are less wider than rebels. Also, the taper from chest down is ‘confusing’ for the lack of terms…

No worries. Appreciate your curiosity. It will help others. Also, yes, this jacket is for someone who knows they want it. Definitely do not recommend to someone who is thinking or not sure about the fit.

I’ll give it this week to try and let it go. Thereafter, it will not go anywhere ;) interested only in selling to someone who can appreciate it more than me.

Just curious, as this seems to be a popular jacket. Is the Mulholland jacket model supposed to go "in" at the waist and flare back out in the shoulders and hips? Kind of like this ) (. Or is this just a result of photography

It does flare out a little I think; it doesn't strictly taper down from chest to hem. Other jackets of this style are cut similarly. See my RMC for a similar slight flare effect at the hem:

Yes, you are correct about the shape. And so is, Observe. Supposedly ideal for trapezoid body types. It is definitely more pronounced when worn rather than just on jacket pic. No photography magic here :)

THanks!! Very helpful info. It's a beautiful jacket, but I'll probably need the opposite cut like this... ( ). Until I lose some weight. Then I'll need this: \ /. ;)

I think Nelson is not a direct alternative to Mulholland (purely based on my trials in person and from what I have now). I have tried Nelson in person before buying FW rebels or FH single riders. It runs a bit short when compared to other off-the-shelf single riders (half belt or other), which was the biggest 'no go' for me as I am 6ft tall and I do not like my jackets above belt loop. Collar is different too and lot of other details differences (FW mulholland has snap buttons at wrist, hem adjusters at bottom, zippered hand pockets, triple line stitched hem and angled chest pocket). Also, the leather does not stand out compared to FW (vintage or rude or jack black) or Flat head black horsehide. No character to it when new. Just a solid horsehide. Although the craftsmanship was great (again as usual from RMC), I just did not feel the 'wow' factor with Nelson as opposed to other jackets leathers. Only similarity with Mulholland is that single piece leather back panel. Just my 2c. I understand this may trigger some folks here. But wanted to share my open feedback on this to set everyone's expectations on Nelson vs Mulholland.

Oh I agree 100% the Mulholland is in a league of its own. I've honestly been a bit let down by my Nelson. I'm only ever 1 click away from listing it on ebay, tbh.

Anyway, sorry for derailing.

No worries, my man. It’s always good to question, provide insights and discuss. Helps everyone. I have been beneficiary of this kind of discussions by others in the past :)
