How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Thedi on the way from classifieds…told myself I was done for the season but the Thedi draw was strong. If @torfjord hadnt gotten the other I’d have been tempted to double down lol

I put @Seank pic first followed by what I think is the same jacket from Thurstons stock page

The sleeve length looks perfect for you, but isn’t that p2p too small? And should it feel weird to know that?

I'm expecting a sashiko/ or perhaps a kendogi fatigue pants, I remember my other kendogi type 3 jacket by the same company,
Sashiko-3.jpg
I wonder if they look alike initially or if they have improved their material and dyeing method, since the jacket has faded real fast with every soak and wear into more of a vintage fade look, and such texture is dust magnet but I like its thickness and how it creases despite being categorized as 12oz. so I'm looking forward for the pants, it also has 32" inseam raw across all sizes that scares me a bit, I wonder how much it would shrink after first soak, anyway the fabrics is interesting enough ,and if must I can break open the bottom hemming to gain 1" on the leg probably.

I find the Sashiko texture intriguing, someday…

Still have a Dehen N1 in bound.
Apparently it takes them over a week to ship it out from time of order. Pretty disappointed by that. When paying a premium for a product I expect some of the $ to go towards great service.0
Yeah I have a jacket in postal limbo as well. Accepted by USPS on 11/25....no movement since. 'Tis the season. Taking that long to package and ship is absurd though. I'd be pissed too.

It's a nightmare. I'm currently waiting on the delivery guy from Fedex for my LW because I missed it yesterday.

He was kind enough to call in advance to tell me the amount of cash I needed to pay for customs. The regular courier company Correos never does that, they come to your door they tell you the amount, they don't have any change and if you don't have it on you (Who the hell has 87,57€ on them exactly for example) they take it back to the post office so it's a waste of time.

Will report back later.

I usually won't allow myself to purchase anything that needs to be shipped between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's a recipe for frustration.

while frustrating i understand postal limbo. Shippers are a giant faceless soulless entity. Small businesses should have control over service. I went to Dehens insta to get a feel for the company. People are asking product questions amd they are going unanswered. Not a good business strategy in 2022.

Well I just got it. A squeaky beast it is.

AMAZING! It's built like a tank and actually fits me pretty well I'd say. Spare room to grow a bit if needed but nothing crazy, the shoulders are extended but in this pattern it works. This one really is broken in, the leather has a lot of character.

I didn't even bother measuring, just tried it on and feels great and I can move around and reach forward and to the sides (Was looking for mobility on my bike, the other leather jackets don't offer such mobility and that's a problem)

It goes straight into a box for my family to gift it to me on Christmas but I'm so happy.

All the zippers work great but It looks like the main zipper was replaced with a YKK double way zipper(doesn't look original) at some poin. If it bothered me I guess I could have Stu replace it with something more appropiate but not a priority at the moment.

The fit is just about perfect, congrats. The back fit is sometimes tricky with these, but perfect in this case.
PS - you are not supposed to open your Christmas presents ahead of time...;

Thanks! I'm afraid it won't be going your way haha

Thanks! The leather is quite stiff in the back but since the action back opens and the shoulder area is quite wide It's comfortable.

Oh, I know! They just never know what to gift me so I figured if this fit me It would make for a good present. That's what I'm telling myself but I'll probably pick something last minute.

Your won the game with this one, you could walk away with head held high! Beautiful jacket and perfect fit.

I've owned a few LW jackets and the Trojan I got from Japan was the best one I owned or every saw. Unfortunately too small for me. I had a hard time selling it, which I never understood.

The Japanese market jackets were made with lighter but substantial leather unlike most LW jackets of today. Very much like the original..

I have seen a few others from this time that were equally impressive, mostly the lighter leather.

I still own my original Test in the 4.5 ounce. It is the best Bad Weather jacket, but a little too much at times.

Congratulations!
