Jack Benny or Fred Allen?

I like them both. They both had unique shows and sketches, and they both connected their shows to each other. I imagine when someone was listening to Jack Benny, they were thinking of Fred Allen, and vice versa.

One of the interesting sidelights of the Benny-Allen feud is that the boy violinist who inspired it in 1936 grew up to be a very distinguished classical musician -- Stewart Canin, who's still active in the music world.
