Regardless, I enthusiastically support any amateur expedition to find the lost Inca city of Paititi. For those unfamiliar with this legendary city hidden in the jungle (and purportedly stuffed with gold and jewels), I offer the following…

+1. In addition to a good straw hat, take lots of insect repellent and sturdy yet breathable hiking boots. And a whip. (Sorry. As a founding member of F.L.A.S.K., I felt duty bound to add my 2 cents.) Regrettably, my jungle expedition days are long behind me.

Any updates? Where did You fly into? What was your primary mode of land transportation? What made you think you might succeed where others had failed? I like to think an old treasure map fell into your hands at some point. It’s the romantic in me.

Just trying to keep the spirit of adventure alive.
