Interesting. They have the Poet and and "Indiana Jones" hat listed, though the bash doesn't look quite right. I wonder if it is still the same hit and miss quality as the resent HJ's.

D'oh!! I didn't even notice. I guess it's too early in the morning. Maybe it is the British way of spelling it, you know like 'color' vs. 'colour'.

I think it's just to avoid a potential lawsuit from Lucasfilm...even though they made the film hats they have no license to reproduce the hats using the name "Indiana Jones".

I meant that as a joke, though not a very good one I'll admit.

Good to finally see a catalog, though the Poet and the Indy are out of stock. I thought it was posted a while back that HJ was not with SWB any longer. This would seem to dispute that. I would be tempted to get the Poet and do the Indy mods myself if I was to get another HJ, which I doubt. The one trilby looks like an Ed Norton hat.
Thanks for posting, MK.

I browsed their website and it looks like everything is out of stock. I guess they don't plan to sell much stuff.;) I think the site is fairly new and they haven't quite gotten it completely up and running. They have some great looking stuff; too bad most of it is way out of my price range.

I too would be interested in getting a plain Poet and then having the modifications done to it. I don't think I can trust them to do it right after seeing the recent HJ's some have purchased.

That comes out to almost $297.00. Is that such a good price for a HJ? I thought they were cheaper than that. Awful lot to pay for a gamble.

You know, if HJ is used for the Indy 4 fedora, now would be the time to get one. Wish I had of had this opportunity back in 1980-81. Fedora

But Fedora, it does not look correct. Given the late track record of HJ, I could believe that SS/GL may look to Optimo for Indy's hat. Your thoughts on that one ?

Future Indy Hat

I agree with Ken,

OPTIMO should do "The Hat" for the next Indy movie. So who is going to put the bug in the Costume Designer's ear about OPTIMO? That is, IF and WHEN they decide to actually do the movie.

If....

The reason I say "IF" is because Harrison Ford is not getting any younger and we haven't heard of the date when they are starting to film Indy 4. Or have I missed something? Of course Harrison could play the part of a father of a "new" young Indy. :)

Or.....Maybe Indy will be like James Bond and we could have someone else play Indiana Jones.

Who would you say could possibly replace Harrison Ford and be the next Indiana Jones? I know to some of us Harrison Ford will always be the only Indiana Jones. Just as Sean Connery will be the only James Bond.

I think it is documented the shooting will begin this year. Our culture is so brainwashed that we think Indy has to be young. Youth is everything. Not so. I for one am sick of kids playing heroic parts. We just write older folks off. It is a good thing Patton, and numerous others thoughout history never listened to this hogwash. Sure a younger Indy would be more attractive to the girls, and some guys, but his looks have nothing to do with the ability to kick some serious booty. regards, Fedora

Don't get me wrong...

Believe me gentlemen, I am not against aging actors. I myself am 55 years old and resent it when a teenager says 55 years is "old". If Harrison Ford can play Indiana Jones until he is 70 great! (and I don't mean to imply that he will) I am just talking about a particular character here (Indiana Jones). Sean Connery is now playing parts that fit his age, as he did in "The Last Crusade". So is Clint Eastwood. Two actors I admire and still like seeing in Movies.

I do hope they start shooting Indy 4 this year. I am looking forward to it just as much as everyone here.
