Blasted terrorists. I call London home. I grew up there. How dare they strike one of the greatest cities in the world. Nothing but ignorant rats is what they are. After you kill an innocent person, I care nothing for your grievances. May they all burn.

And may all of my London friends on this board stay safe.

Well - there is one of us still kicking!

I missed the explosions in Aldgate this AM. I was late for work, and I paused outside Angel station, debating whether or not to take the tube. I decided to take the bus instead - the 205. As luck would have it, if I had taken the next 205, I would've had issues, as a bomb went off in that one around Houndsditch. If I took the tube, I had a good chance of arriving when the bomb went off. I was in the immediate area at the time - but I didn't hear either.

Aldgate is the major stop near my job. Quite a few co-workers said that they felt the blast. However, at the time they all thought that it was a blown transformer or something. Thankfully no one here was hurt.

It was pretty intense - there were armed police on the streets down below us and soldiers up on the roof across from our building.

Now I have to figure out how to get home, as the buses & tube ain't running!

Interesting times...

I agree totally. My wife was close to being transferred(job related) to the WTC in NYC around 9/11..
Thanks goodness for 'red tape'...

These terrorist ********!! have no heart, hate us, and will never stop with this kind of attack. They want our products and our technology, covet our way of life, but have a religious fanaticism against "Western Culture".

I am beginning to wonder just what it takes in our society today to say "enough"! In 1941 it was Pearl Harbor, and the nation rallied like never before.
The 9/11 attack should have done the same, but I know so many people who have already forgotten the recent past.

I, too, would send my thoughts and prayers to the people of London during these times. The war against terrorism will, unfortunately, be a long and difficult fight; but I have faith that in the end good will prevail over evil. The people of the US and the UK have suffered losses in this fight, and most likely will, sadly, suffer more; but with every loss we should strengthen our common resolve to continue to stand firm as the defenders of liberty for citizens of the civilized world. Together we defeated Nazism, Fascism, Totalitarianism, and Communism. Together, we will defeat this present threat to humanity. Bring the perpetrators of this "crime" to justice, not hardly - eradicate them and their kind from the face of the earth would be more desirable.
