My family first got cable tv when I was in middle school. Cable tv was awesome back then. As soon as I would get off the bus, I'd run to the tv and catch the 60's Batman tv series... and then I'd watch a couple episodes of the Abbot & Costello Show. That was my first exposure to them and I loved every minute of it. I seem to recall buying a cassette tape of the Whos on First sketch because I liked it so much.

I loved the guy who played a little kid with the giant lollypop, and who was always trying to get Costello in trouble. Who was that guy? I've forgotten.

I believe you're thinking of Joe Besser as Stinky. He also played Joe the Stooge (from the much lesser 3 Stooges shorts).
