Vintage in Europe??

Hey guys! I'm very excited to say that I'm going to be studying abroad in Maastricht in the Netherlands...

Also on top of that there are going to be group trips to: amsterdam, berlin, padua, paris, and vienna.

And on top of that, I'm getting FOUR WEEKS of free travel!

Does anyone have any suggestions of where I should go, what I should wear (are blazers and trousers acceptable?), and most importantly are there any thrift stores/vintage stores in any of the places I'm going that I should visit? How would I go about finding other stores?

In Paris, the St Ouen flea market (near to Port de Clignacourt) is legendary. In Amsterdam, Waterlooplein is also worth a visit.

Berlin can be good.

Hamburg, a couple of hours away, is good too, I hear.

You should have explained to the poor transatlantic gentleman that "morning suit" doesn't mean a pyjama, and that "evening dress" isn't a woman's piece of clothing.

Any ideas as far as culture and sight seeing? What about restaurants?

I have no idea...It was the first picture I found when i searched for "fop" on google images...I dearly yearn to be seen and referred to as a fop. Perhaps one day I can be a macaroni...Alas, a soul can dream...

It occurs to me that one of the young ladies in the Lounge will be studying in the Netherlands at the same time as you. She's from the LA area, and she made a post about being a little nervous about it. Can't remember who it was. If you guys can hook up, you'll both have a fellow Lounger to be in touch with over there.
